First, there's no freakin way the COA at UT is 2k higher than UGA.Hell their President even bragged about it being an advantage .Of course AU wasn't far behind with it's amount and then Bama "recalculated" their number to get close to AU.

I also saw something that stated the players cannot receive a Pell grant if they get the stipend. They have to choose one or the other.Anybody know if this is the case?

Funny to me that the worst schools academically seem to rise to the top of the COA charts. So you're telling me it costs less to attend a school like UGA, Florida, or A&M in pursuit of a better education than Tennessee, Bama, Auburn, or Miss St?

Not with their business schools. They could probably use some good accountants.

Considering that football players get a monthly cash payments for rent, food, and incidentals if they live off campus, or free meals and laundry money if they live on campus, I see no need to pay them more.

Don't have problem with COA stipends at allThey just need to make them uniform or at the minimum a few hundred dollars difference between schools.

I know ADGM has raised the point more than once in Destin.

One day soon the basketball players will ask for their share of the money, then some women athletes will sue under Title IX for their money.

So the Equestrian team gets the COA? How about the walk-ons on the volleyball team?

All scholarship athletes get them.if not there would have been several Title IX lawsuits and
violations
