We haven’t landed a top OT since Amarius Mims and there have a been a couple dud classes in there. Maybe not “fallen off a cliff,” but it’s by far the biggest change in our recruiting in the last 5-6 years.

Our defensive recruiting under Kirby has always been way ahead of offense with the exception of OL and TE. Since Pittman that’s become just TE, as even RB has been a struggle since the White/Cook class. One thing that helped was that Monken was actually a very strong evaluator of WRs and struck gold with McConkey and AD Mitchell. That combined with Bennett and residual OL recruits was enough for a very strong offense in 2022 and 2023c but very little of that personnel remains.

I don’t think we have any offensive players that are tracking toward being a high draft pick at this point, which is indeed a major change from any point in Kirby’s tenure.

If a change is made it won't be until February.

You're starting to sound like Mike Bell.

2024 Oline class looks good to me. Monroe Freeling and Bo Hughley is still on the roster.

I don't disagree but I was more addressing the specific OL recruiting.

Your post goes back to what you have said before, the elite WR and OTs = big NIL bags. Seems like Kirby was/is hesitant to dish those out for those positions. Strategy may have to change on that soon.

it was better this cycle imo. We struck out a lot with our top targets in the 2024 class and ended up signing a bunch of 360 pounders who may or may not play one day however.

To think this requires a special amount of enthusiasm and imagination. Wish I could join you. It would be way more fun.

Ratledge, Jared Wilson and Fairchild are all ranked in the top 10 for interior offensive linemen in the composite of all mock drafts, but somehow a bunch of way younger dudes with way less pedigree and experience are magically going to make us better.

The Georgia offensive line is a buzzkill right now and any enthusiasm about next season is tempered by our trash dump situation at offensive line.

As long as Searels is coaching Oline and Bobo is his boss, we are fricked next season.

Probably playoffs but certainly not final 4.

Good grief. Go tell Kirby. I'm sure he would act on your valuable insight.
