whites make up about a tad bit less than 3/4 of the state demographic...likewise, the state of GA surely doesn't harbor any racism in it at all????? please! We all know, or a least some of us know, a "****" (hate I had to put it this way) can still get hung 40 miles outside of Hart County if he's in the wrong place at the right time...I went to class the day (college) after Obama was elected the first time and was scared to take my wife and kid into the community- Toccoa/Lavonia, Ga-where I stayed at the time, after I saw a "white hood" riding in an open crop field on a white horse with a huge rebel flag...not to mention the social injustice that is the penile system...forced convictions in a highly racially discriminatory county or city, i.e., Wrens, GA or some other redneck town...likewise, this thread has exposed the issue still exists, and I have to say, Afro-Americans in the "Antebellum" South still have it the hardest my friend, we still gotta long ways to go...

To be fair I don't see a lot of folks helping to change the stereotype. do you have a long way to go? Absolutely. But you'd get there faster if you (and I don't mean you personally) quit shooting yourself in the foot by reinforcing stereotypes

It depends...

If you're white...yes

If you're black, asian, latino, etc....no

Unless you're a conservative black, latino, etc....then absolutely yes.

Whether or not there was any truth to the statement is largely irrelevant.

Redneck town

Wrens,Ga demographics The racial makeup of the city was 65.17%African American, 33.19% White, 0.09%Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.26% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.78% of the population.

It makes many wonder if you're being completely honest about what you saw in Toccoa .You idiots are hunting the Boogy Man, and he lives in Fulton ,Clayton ,and Dekalb Counties,......not Wrens and Toccoa .

Your loose use of the term "redneck" is hurtful and most likely racism directed at fair-skin people, double standards should not apply.......to be fair.

You know it's racist.

What do you want? Gratification from a bunch of stupid rednecks who would agree with you and deny it's racist.

"Shaniqua with 22 children" is an undeniably racist stereotype that is also untrue.

Black women don't have children just so they can go on welfare. Moreover, they don't get more money, if they have more than 1 child.

You are an ignorant person and should be ashamed of yourself.

To me, a single comment can't really be racist unless it's a reflection of your belief system. Racism is a lifestyle - something you're indoctrinated into and apply to your everyday life. So unless you spend your spare time despising minorities, I wouldn't say the comment is racist.

Makes you look like an intolerant a-hole, though.

I am far from being politically correct but I have always been told it is better to tell the truth. The truth shall set you free and it did set you free from that web-site.

Not Racist- the truth.

I'm not really intolerant until it comes to sucking off the government teet. But I can see how that might come off that way.

That seems kinda racist in itself. Hypocritical at minimum. What makes it ok for a "minority" to say it, but not a "white person". (Just FWIW, I am 1/4 american Indian. And was teased in grade school for being a "mexican". I only mention this to show that I am not your "typical" anglo saxon "white male".)

Second, why does the "truth" behind the statement not matter? I could understand a comment about "chicken and watermelon" being racist because there is no empirical evidence to back up the statement. But with this, as displayed in this thread, there is plenty of evidence as proof of my statement.

You have clearly had no exposure to the welfare system if you believe that. So please go away. You opinion matters to exactly no one.

When presented with facts that disqualify their own ideology,a"Progressives" only recourse is to scream racism .It's really all they've got.I recently read an article that involved the Atlanta Symphony and their reluctance to allow two Atlanta area High Schools the privilege of performing in a Christmas concert due to their lack of diversity ,while the symphony itself consisted of only one minority member.BRAVO ,no?

I didn't know this. That is pretty sad and pathetic though. I mean it is amazing to me that anymore racism is only allowed to go one way.

When you choose to post on a website you then accept the website rules and conditions. If the website then bans you using their own criteria, however faulty it may be, then you have to accept the inequity.
Freedom of speech is not free, you have to pay the price the power chooses to charge. What is free is the right to speak freely if you wish to accept the consequences. I know that sounds contradictory, but our Constitutional freedoms are not lightly understood.

I'm not questioning any of this. The only thing I am questioning is their referring to my comment as racist. As I am not a racist, and I don't appreciate being referred to as such.

Stay on topic retard. Oh, that's right, you have no argumemt to what I said about it being safer in the country for a black man than it is for a white person to be in the hood after dark. You have no argument so you start throwing out insults.

Speaking truth is NOT racism. The worst mistake in United States history was bringing Africans to the US to be slaves. FACT!! Racist? Perhaps to some, however, not to the educated.

That's a pretty strong statement. We wouldn't be as developed as a nation without them.
