f I thought I was being followed by some crazy arse cracker I'd call the cops. If TM's culture and upbringing didnt lead him to this same conclusion then maybe that's what the conversation should be about...not about how he's some kind of victim. Victims don't pin a guy and beat their head into the pavement.

TM was a thug and everyone knows it. Its tragic...really it is...but more times than not this is the way the "thug life" plays out.

Damn good point

Maybe if the little punk hadn't been trespassing Zimmerman wouldn't have talked to him.

Well it's nice to know that we have concerned citizens like Zimmerman out there to keep us safe. I know I sure sleep better at night.

It will take an outright revolution to keep this country from collapsing in the next 50 years. Maybe a lot sooner. The perversion of democracy we have and extreme capitalism have destroyed this place. It needs to be burnt to the ground and rebuilt by the people

Who is "they"? The 911 operator? The dispatcher on the phone is not a police officer, so I'm not sure that even matters.

At the end of the day, GZ was legally carrying a weapon. Yeah, he followed TM, which is certainly weird and probably uncalled for, but as far as I know, following someone is not an illegal act in itself. Not to mention the prosecution absolutely blew anything they were trying to prove with that god-awful girlfriend they put on the stand. I mean, did they not coach that poor dumb girl at all?

If I'm sitting on the jury (and thank God I'm not) there's absolutely no way I could convict GZ of Murder in the second degree based on what I've seen so far.

Yeah I haven't been following the case a whole lot lately but I do know that he was told not to go out there and confront him and yet he still did. shite definitely could've been easily avoided if he wouldn't have been such a dumbass.

Rather than be ignorant and say ignorant things, why not get an idea about the topic before commenting?

Zimmerman walk through video

The apartment complex they were in doesn't have shite for street signs. The officer (or whomever he was speaking to on the phone) asked him to locate a street so he got out of his car and walked down a sidewalk between some buildings to look for one, when he turned to go back to his car, TM jumped him and started beating the shite out of him. GZ was shouting help over and over and when TM started slamming his head into the sidewalk, that's when he pulled out his gun and shot him in the chest.

All his injuries are consistent with his story(go google the pictures or just watch the video and look at the guy). The testimony from the neighbors who heard him shouting for help over and over BEFORE hearing the gun shot are consistent with his story. The recording of his conversation with the dispatcher on the phone is consistent with his story. The scene, lacking street signs and being a decently nice complex that you wouldn't expect to see a hooded kid standing around in the rain in random yards, is consistent with his story. Not to mention the fact that TM doesn't live there or any where near there and they've found no acquaintances of TM's that live there or anywhere around there either. I mean WTF was TM doing there?

If you're on the neighborhood watch and you notice a anyone in a hoodie walking around in the rain standing in people's front yards, WTF are you supposed to do? TM was the definition of "suspicious".

And if you're getting your arse beat and then they start bashing your skull on hard concrete, WTF are you supposed to do? Just take it and let them continue to kill you?

I mean some of you folks are being idiots about this.

According to Wikipedia....

quote:

Crimes committed at The Retreat in the year prior to Martin's death included eight burglaries, nine thefts, and one shooting.[90] Twin Lakes residents said there were dozens of reports of attempted break-ins, which had created an atmosphere of fear in their neighborhood.

The cops had been called there 402 times in the previous year. If I lived in that neighborhood not only would I want a neighborhood watch, hell I'd probably be on it. What do you guys suggest? Barricade yourself inside your homes and hope the cops get there in time if you're next? I have no problem with armed neighborhood watches if the crime rate is getting out of hand.

Again...there's a lot more to this than the poor unarmed black teen was shot by the (not) white attacker.

Some facts please......

Damn dude don't get pissy,I haven't watched shite about the trial since the incident first happened so I was just using the info I recollected about the event that came out shortly after it happened. I haven't watched shite about it on the news because I hate how all the news channels report on it, especially CNN. And FWIW I think that Zimmerman will get off as there is just too much doubt as to what happened, all I was saying is that the situation could've easily been avoided.

I caught a glimpse of that and wow is she a dumbass or what. She was also pretty rude I heard so she definitely didn't help the prosecution out.

Did you just cite wikipedia? Im kidding man. Personally I don't care. Everything that I had seen pointed to Zimmerman stalking the kid. I'll check up on the recent facts and get back to you.

Regarding Zimmerman trial.......

Don't listen to the media. They are invested in making this a racial issue. I have watched the entire trial.

1) Zimmerman isn't white

2) Zimmerman was already outside his truck when the DISPATCHER (not a cop) said 'we don't need you to do that' regarding looking for Martin. That is not a legal order.

3) Martin said to his girlfriend that 'a creepy arse cracker was following him. Trayvon made this a racial issue. Zimmerman isn't white.

4) Zimmerman says Trayvon confronted him. There is no other witness to dispute this.

5) Trayvon had no injuries other than the gun shot. Zimmerman suffered multiple injuries.

6) Closest witness says Trayvon was on top, throwing punches 'MMA style' on Zimmerman. Witness says Zimmerman was the one screaming for help.

After reading the above, does that sound like murder 2? frick no. The state hasn't proven shite except for Zimmerman's story. Eery witness they called lends credence to what Zimmerman said happened.

The entire case should have been thrown out and never even brought to trial.

I'll leave you with this quote from the lead investigator on the stand who was a STATE witness......

"I told Zimmerman that we most likely have the confrontation/fight on video" - lead investigator

"How did Zimmerman respond to that" -Zimmerman lawyer

" Zimmerman said 'Thank God...'..." -lead investigator

If he is innocent then he is innocent and his peers will deem him as such. I may have personal feelings about certain things, but I always believe in letting the system do its job.

"It is better to let a thousand guilty men go free than to convict even one innocent person."
