Negative. You could not be more wrong if you're referring to the 4 and 1 against alabama. Nobody knew it was coming. They went fast to catch alabama off guard and it worked.
I went back for the first time yesterday and watched this play and you are absolutely correct. But it doesnt matter to some folks on here. If a timeout was called and we brought in McCray and ran it up the middle and didnt get the 1st down these folks would be saying "damn, Bobo up the middle!". If we ran a play action pass that didn't pick it up we would get "4th and 1, we should've ran the damn ball up the middle!". The best thing to do is ignore these people because they usually add little or nothing to the conversation.

You are correct. Ultimately, it's the coaches that are responsible. But to ignore the fact that you have 11 18-22 yr old human beings involved in the play who are imperfect no matter how well coached they are is overly simplistic.

So it's the OC's responsibility to block properly?
Cool.

LOL. Every coach from PeeWee football to the NFL is horrible if that is the standard.

The OC called a play to the most injured, weakest, youngest part of our line vs. the strength of Bama's line. Also, decided to run our 4th string RB who the week before ran it twice for which they had plenty of tape on.
Also, the OLine coach is responsible for having his blockers able to block.
So, yea...the play call and overall coaching is in fact on the coaches.

This is part of my perspective as well. With 4th and 1, I don't want to rely on 2 Freshmen on the right side of the line to make critical blocks on that side.
Also, Chauncey Bowens led Georgia’s running backs against Alabama with 119 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, averaging an impressive 9.9 yards per carry. Bowens weighs in at 225lbs vs 182 for Cash Jones. Bowens is also faster than Jones with 4.45 speed in the 40.
With one critical yard to gain, I definitely want a bigger, stronger, faster RB in the game. Even with the way the play went down, Bowens, being heavier and stronger, might have been able to absorb the hit by the Bama DL better and stay on his feet to get the first down.

Dipshit thinks it's peewee ball, we don't pay coaches millions for bad judgement. Losers lose winners win.
Reminds me of a play late vs SCU under Richt where they didn't give the ball to Todd gurley. fricking stupid
