You have to consider the type of people who will eat up that sort of thing. Shallow voters who vote on fluff will love that type of performance and may sway their opinion or strengthen it positively in his favor.

Not to mention he's been a public figure for decades and just now is being touted as racist and bigoted. He's been more pro-gay than any other GOP candidate to date. His record speaks for himself; it's just the typical ad hominem attacks by libs that don't have anything else to use.
