Eh it’s ok. Not much notable honestly. Mercury is one of my favorite newer ones live but it doesn’t hold up as well in studio (like almost all of their music). If you want a good Mercury check out last summers Alpine Valley Mercury->Amber Waves. Best jam I’ve seen them do in 3.0 plus that venue was really really cool....

Shade is way better live as is Everything’s Right.

Thread is pretty good.

Overall like most of their studio stuff after Round Room it’s pretty meh.

I found someone's lost marijuana in my kitchen drawer and I'm looking for an excuse to smoke it. You make it sound like this is not that moment.

You just proved the point we’ve been making for 7 weeks. It was going to be so bad, every healthcare personnel would be called out of retirement, graduating nurses and doctors early to treat this....hospitals would be over run and couldn’t support this at all.

All of that was said to happen if we did nothing, so we did something, and then it didn't happen outside of some hot spots like NYC and Albany Ga. How the hell do you still not understand how these things work? Simple cause and effect is over your head.

Where and when did he claim to be Christian?

And why do Christians bother you so much? That's something I don't understand. Christians do vote according to their values....but so does everybody else.

But more to the point of the upcoming election....do you seriously believe Biden can handle the job? He has his foot stuck in his mouth at the simplest times. His attempt to remain in the spotlight with his own coronavirus updates proved to be disastrous. So much so his handlers convinced him to stop.

Which was stupid. But Congress didn't convene an impeachment rial over it. The left started Trump is colluding with Russia and chanted "Impeach 45" every moment they could. Over what? A falsified dossier made by an ex-British spy they they have just uncovered was in cahoots with the Russians? Wow. What a turn of events. The Russians were actually shills for Hillary and not Trump.

The FBI's Crossfire Hurricane team investigating the Trump 2016 campaign received multiple indications that former British spy Christopher Steele -- one of their key informants in their investigation -- was part of an elaborate "Russian disinformation campaign," according to several newly declassified footnotes from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on FBI misconduct.

“It’s ironic that the Russian collusion narrative was fatally flawed because of Russian disinformation," Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ron Johnson, R-Wis., who had pushed for the declassification, said in a statement to Fox News on Friday. "These footnotes confirm that there was a direct Russian disinformation campaign in 2016, and there were ties between Russian intelligence and a presidential campaign – the Clinton campaign, not Trump’s.”

FBI had information Steele dossier was part of 'Russian disinformation campaign,' declassified footnotes show

I'm sure the MSM will have this splashed all over the news night after night.

I really do appreciate those words and sentiment. I try to be respectful, but I'm not always.

There is a reason people say to not discuss politics and religion. Those are two subjects that are hot button issues for people. We all feel very strongly about those things.

I do tend to agree with Djs on one thing, though. I don't believe either party truly has our best interests at heart. Their one aim is to gain power and keep it.
I also wish a third party would rise up....a more centrist party. I think more people are beginning to tire of the back and forth and we will see a third party i the coming years....but things tend to move and change sowly. Which is actually a good thing.

So this ISN'T the most poorly handled in the world? (I know it wasn't you who said that, some have in this thread....and in the news media)

I was not aware of Albany, Ga. being a hotspot. I actually try to avoid the news as much as possible. I would blame New York on their local and state governments handling of the situation.

But....in all honesty, and without looking, I would be willing to bet that some in this thread, have been arguing the poitn he made.

Either way, you have to either admit y'all were wrong, or admit that the handling of the situation has not been as bad as advertised. And, no...."We got lucky and dodged a bullet!" is as silly as "Obama was born in Africa."

Happy peak day. I’m sure DJ is upset there won’t be 200K deaths to blame on OMB now

Even if you want to argue it’s just 1% (which seems low as of now).

Likely significantly lower than that if we could get a handle on the actual # of infected. Attempts at doing that have been piss poor.

Weather.com has a covid-19 tab that features a graph of total confirmed cases and total deaths over time for my location. The data may or may not be accurate for a given location.

What is the overall mood down in Albany?

Do people seem overall optimistic that the corner is being turned, or are you seeing pessimism and depression?

None of my friends and family think that things can go back to normal any time soon. My friends and family are either retired or still earning so there isn't overwhelming depression. The shelter in place order is working but it can't be safely lifted.

Society is in dire need of mass testing. We need to ramp up testing as aggressively as we ramped up war production in WWII. Testing is especially important for medical professionals and people who can't isolate.

Check out what Paul Romer wrote in the article below.

Will Our Economy Die From Coronavirus?

I am retired, but helping a buddy with a project at his business. his business is considered essential, so he remains open. I go in for 4 hours a day 4 days a week, so it keeps me sane, although I think I would still be okay.

I hope everybody remains safe and well. It doesn't matter which side of the debate you are on...stay safe.

My big problem with the article is that it is opinion, and he uses hyperbole. I don't think anybody expects the unemployment rate to reach 20%. That was a toss off remark that got repudiated fairly quickly.

That said, we have seen a spike in unemployment application, and I think we will see more. But not 20%.

I can't conceive of any argument against mass testing. There doesn't seem to be any other way to get a large set of people back to work safely and with piece of mind.

Trump can call for a big economic restart but he can't force people to risk their lives and others. Meanwhile, everyone who comes into contact with Trump and Pence is tested for the virus every time that they are allowed in.

Well, yes, but Trump and Pence also have bodyguards, so it is hard to make an argument that because he gets something everybody should. I mean, if I contracted Corona it would mean something totally different to the country than if Trump or Pence got it.

I'm not entirely sold on how testing affects us in a positive way. I mean, I have seen reports that seem inconclusive that you can contract it more than once...and then some that said once you contract it you can't contract it again.

Other reports say they can get a false positive on patients who have had Covid19 and recovered. I mean, even at this point medical professionals don't understand how it works or what after affects there might or might not be.

I will, however, readily admit that you guys probably know more about this subject than I do...which is why I rarely enter into the discussion unless I am prepared with links to sources.

Testing might not be perfect yet. Experts still don't know all they need to know about the virus. We have to start and learn as we go.

From every individual's point of view, no president's life trumps their own in importance. If Trump dies he has a replacement. If I die it's curtains.
