Asymptomatic is possible through low virus load. But that virus load can still be spread and transmitted.

Thanks all for responding. I have since read all your responses and looked at articles online. I find it interesting how some people never show any symptoms. Wow. I guess that could be one of the scariest aspects. While those people are fortunate that they could have a brush with Covid19 and not be affected, it would be terrible to know you had it, spread it to others and they might die from it, or at the least have a really bad bout with it.
Again, thanks to all of you who helped me wrap my head around this part of it.

What you are saying is what Kemp said a few days ago and is getting slaughtered for it, so best keep this revelation to yourself.

This is one big reason why the recommendation to not mask society was borderline negligent.
The mask is a decent method of preventing the receipt of the virus.
But it is a highly effective method of preventing the spread.

NYC Is Taking Hundreds of Body Bags Out of Houses—and Soon They Will Be Counted
I caught a headline somewhere for an article that I bypassed that recommended wearing facemasks, but not gloves, while grocery shopping. I can't understand why someone would advise ditching gloves.

Soap and water is best for cleaning hands. It disables and/or removes the virus.
To get gloves off, you have to use your hands. Which can defeat the purpose of not having to wash hands.

I can easily take Nitril gloves off without touching the outside surface.
Just now I discovered that ABC News is concerned about discarded gloves as a littering biohazard. I don't litter so I'll wear my gloves if I ever have to leave my cave.

Living in Albany you probably already got it from the mailman and are already over it. You are full of antibodies now. Don't be afraid. Get out there like Chauncey Gardner.

I seriously doubt that I've been infected. I haven't touched a piece of mail since the day I learned of the first local infection. It would be nice to know for sure.

Which is pretty damn easy if you know what you are doing.

Yea. Pretty bad look for him to be that clueless.

And everything you've touched with those gloves before you took them off is now contaminated with everything else those gloves touched. Your groceries, your doorknobs, your car, steering wheel, turn signal, shifter, radio dial, cell phone etc. Sure you discarded the contaminated gloves, but now your clean hands are vulnerable to everything else.

That’s why you take your gloves off without using bare skin.

It would not shock me if you Couldn’t do that. Not one bit.

It's not that difficult. The virus doesn't live that long on most surfaces. In a ICU it's hard to stay safe but that is a brutal environment.

But DawgsLife isn’t the governor, so it’s ok for him not to know that and want to know the answer

quote:Because when people that don't wear gloves decide to wear gloves, they forget that their gloves are disgusting and they still touch their faces and open drinks and every other thing you're trying to keep the virus off of. I watch people do it every day. When you're not gloved up, you're more conscious of your hands.

Interesting factoid from WSJ today:
How is COVID pneumonia shittier than regular pneumonia? Isn't it all the same pneumonia?
quote:
British study released April 4 reported that 67% of early Covid-19 patients given ventilators or other advanced respiratory support died. That’s nearly double the 36% of non-Covid patients with viral pneumonia in prior years.
