You can tell by the way they're hoping that the Baylor thing overplays what's gone on with their program. Their self-imposed sanctions won't be enough. The NCAA tastes blood.

Emmert & company have made themselves look like the Keystone Cops over he last few significant investigations, particularly Evan Shapiro and Miami. If they can keep their nose clean while they do their thing, Freeze, et al. might just get the crucifixion they deserve.

But as one fan posted on the SEC Rant, it creates a model for mediocre programs like Ole Miss who will gladly take a reduction in the total no. of recruits per sanctions in exchange for top 5 recruiting classes. In other words, they will keep right on cheating/paying players to come there unless the sanctions are much more severe than what has been self imposed by Ole Miss.

That makes sense. Also, I wonder if the NCAA will try to make an example of a "SEC" team...
