Should UGA play a second big name team out of conference and decrease chances for playoffs or play another Umass type game that no one cares about and does nothing for our SOS?
Or play a major conference state rival that we typically can beat?
I like playing a big game opponent like Clemson or Oregon or Notre Dame early in the season. It builds excitement in the offseason and helps the team build focus. After that, until the playoff format changes, maybe three cupcake games is ideal.
Right now, having two P4 non-conference games is not helpful and may be detrimental to your post-season goals from what I can tell. If we can sandwich another nobody between two tough SEC games, play more backups and give starters a chance to heal and rest up without risking a loss, that's fine with me.
I guess my opinion about that is not popular, but I think it might be a benefit given the current state of college football.

I know plenty of fans feel that way. Just giving my two cents worth. When it became a professional sport, that felt like a huge break with all the past traditions of college football. And I don't mind the players getting paid, but it does change the way programs will operate to succeed.

Seated at the game. Jackets are warming and so is King #10.

It’s a shame this playoff committee has made this an issue.

Buster Faulkner will replace BOBO as OC in 2025, too. Those Nats will be crying like crazy during the holidays!

I agree with some of your points but none of those points add up to dropping the GT game. If anything, it's to drop the Clemsons/Notre Dames/Oregons. And I don't think anyone wants that either.
