A lot of people picked them to win the National Championship. First 5 minutes of this game they look like shite. Brand new starting LT and he is letting guys just blow right by him. Brand new punter had his first punt blocked. They could lose this game if they keep this up. First series, false start, qb fumble recovered by them, qb sack and a blocked punt.

They are not looking much better by the end of the first quarter. Wisconsin was a 4-8 team last year. They do not look like a playoff team much less National Champion. Carr is getting a lot of passes batted down. They just kicked a 52 yard fg to tie it 3-3.

As I watch this game, now 10-3 ND. Are they imposing their will on Wisconsin. Not by any means. Their TD came off of Wisconsin fumbling the kickoff on the 5. They stuff the ND run twice before ND scored. Wisconsin is having no problem moving the ball and ND is having all kinds of problems moving the ball.

Miami will trounce this ND team. Maybe even BYU too. They dont really play any other good teams. 28 yard TD pass by Wisconsin to tie it 10-10. It wont surprise me for them to lose this game.

Yea Williams is averaging 2.7 ypc. ND finally had a good drive with a great catch by wr where Carr was way off. Got inside the 10 and had to settle for a fg. ND has some good defensive players though. Bowen and Williams are both good. McKinney has made some good plays too.

ND has not converted a 3rd down yet. Last couple of drives when they get a good play it gets called back for a penalty.

In 2022, Georgia fans (and a bunch of trolls) were losing their minds because we played unimpressive games against Kent State and Missouri. They had no clue about the future. Football fans (and pundits) always overestimate what they see in the first half of the season. Even judging based on the first 3 or 4 games is pure speculation. If you want to know who has a shot at a national championship, wait til after they've played several good to very good teams to judge the overall performance. Even then the contenders have to stay pretty healthy to get through the playoffs.

Pete Golding was a big roll of the dice. He was already on staff and had four prior years at Alabama on his résumé, and that was about it. The playoff committee did them a massive favor by giving them not one but two repeat games in the playoffs, because they already had game plans for Tulane and Georgia and they had already beaten Tulane like a drum. That was a fix job.

Ole Miss didn't want to see their roster evaporate into the transfer portal, so they chose him for continuity and probably because the players like him. Maybe it works out fine, they are definitely spending a lot of money, but the odds of repeating Kiffin's success are not great, IMO.
