I am going on just hunches and not anything else. Kelly struck me as a guy that pissed people off everywhere he went.
Perhaps lack of leadership skills. Some guys try to make up for that with a rotten personality.

I've never been a fan of BK, but his 3 losses this season were against 3 teams with a combined TWO losses! Its not exactly like he's losing to scrubs.
The fans are dumb for sure; most don't realize that it's a new era and if they want to win, it's expensive.
The portal is driving coaching turnover too. Kelly's not being fired for those 3 losses. They've been struggling for a while and the trend looked negative lately. It started to feel like he might be losing his team. If your whole team starts feeling antsy, trying to keep the roster intact gets more expensive very quickly. Programs are bleeding money at both ends just trying to stay competitive.

No doubt a delusional fan base fueled by Saban's success, their 2007 fluke NC along with 2019 perfect storm season.
Sorry,it's not even close to a top 5 job in the country or even the SEC.

The newest rumor is that Kelly accepted a much lower buyout because they had dirt on him for violation of his morality clause.

New coaches are going to need to debug their offices and university cell phones going forward.
