Bottle Rocket is probably one of my all time favorite movies. It's almost perfect. Rushmore is up there too
After those, he got more and more aggressively pretentious with each movie and I couldn't even finish that one about the hotel. The animated ones are pretty good
Always great soundtracks though. In fact, about a year after every Wes Anderson movie, if you notice, all the commercials on tv will be using songs they learned about from his soundtracks

I concur that his movies got more pretentious as time went on. It's like he doesn't believe a story needs a beginning, middle, and end. He just wants theme.

My wife is watching Pride and Prejudice. I can't turn off Mr. Darcy to watch a meaningless bowl game. But, coincidentally, she's got a small bowl of cheeze-its as she watches.

Seems like that for the second time in recent memory, Texas forgot that non-playoff bowls are just meaningless bullshite.
Guess the memory of the '91 Cotton Bowl still stings a bit. But, I suppose being the victim of a prison rape game will do that.
