He does have a massive wingspan...not a that whole lot of guys his size have quickness but he is lacking in that dept big time. He's the tallest guy I've ever seen @ NG .Too bad he only played 2 years at D1 he coulda really used that extra 2 years of S&C and practice...no telling where he'd be drafted.

What does that cost ?

Not sure. I do know TD is reluctant to give up this year's 2nd rounder, though.

As long as the Falcons do not trade up I will be happy. If anything I hope we trade down and grab some extra picks.

We need to get Matthews so I'm not so sure about trading down

I can agree but often it is a gamble with a players regardless of where they are drafted. I just want to see this draft class make an impact.

Mack, Matthews, or Lewan. Still in good shape here. We'll get one of them.

NOT in favor of trading down and drafting Martin out of ND.

Said all along I think Matthews is the safest pick in this draft and ready to go immediately. Him or Lewan (who is also ready to go) and I'm happy.

Smart drafting from the Raiders, crazy to see.

Given the choice, would you have preferred Matthews over Mack?

In a vacuum, yes. But w/ the availability of OT prospects and Mike Tice coming in to coach up the OL I'm thinking Mack might've fulfilled a bigger need.

Nevertheless, this is a family biz for Matthews. You can't overestimate the coaching and mental aspect he's going to bring to this. Zero chance of getting a fat contract and sitting on his heels, zero chance of off the field trouble, etc. I've heard both him and Clay Matthews say that it's the name on the back of the jersey that matters, and that's what they play for. Love that family attitude.
