I don’t think Kirby will let this team eat the poison. I don’t think the captains or the players will either. These guys are focused on a goal.

That’s why the upperclassmen leadership is such a big part of teams that go all the way. Players can get tired of coaches yelling/preaching at them, but if they’re being held accountable by the guys out there with them on the field, they’re more likely to stay honed in on the mission.
I really really like what I’ve seen from the leaders this year. Up there with the 2017 seniors’ command of the team.
