Natrez aside, all UGA athletes and coaches best take note; if a case is relevant to the success of their team, the Athens Clark County solicitor will go out of their way to make adverse events known to the media.
Patrick's lawyer said this information is not normally made public, but I guess the solicitor thought there was an urgent need-to-know in this case. The quick retest and news dissemination is another example of how local law enforcement for athletes in Athens is quite different from other places.
Agree with this. Well stated.

I’d rather have them high arse shite munching a lazy sub than drunk as frick in a bar surrounded by similarly drunk as frick students.

this question has been answered I believe but I will answer it again - there are 2 possibilities that seem to be most likely that have been suggested/discussed 1 - weed takes a few hours to work it's way into the blood stream & digestive tract. since the university administered the test almost immediately; it is very possible that he had used, but that the test was given before the substance had worked it's way into his system 2 - he was clean & given a test & knew he would pass, after the test, he thought he was done & in the clear, so he "partied" in celebration & subsequently got caught on the next (unexpected) test there is also a 3rd possibility - I can absolutely believe that the University administered test is predictable & that the players that use have figured out how to beat it; but have not figured out how to beat the state's test; OR that the state test was a big surprise & he did not have time to take steps to beat it
Thanks for clearing that up. One thing, wouldn’t the state’s evidence be collected prior to being released from custody therefor the state’s sample would be older than the university’s?

I can get behind second chances, but like, fourth chances? F that. I don't see anything wrong with rolling out the "no retard" policy. Plus, the guy's already missed 1/3 of the season anyway.
We're on the tail end of a great season with senior leaders like Chubb and Michel who are upstanding individuals. People like Patrick take away from that.
Do you want to win like Auburn or do you want to win like Georgia?

Agree. Multiple chances to repeat offenders sends the wrong message to the team as a whole.

no, because he is on probation
on probation for what? smoking weed...
so, as I understand it, any arrest triggers a drug test as per the terms of his probation
the only thing that makes sense is that he may have believed that having the case dismissed would prevent that from happening
either way - he is a dumbass

The root cause to this is that most people have low self awareness or the capacity for critical thinking. They can't look at their own positions critically.
That, and the pathetic victim culture they worship.
Everybody wants to be seen as standing up for the victims of some oppressive uncool and non-trendy boogie man.
Why? Well, because who does an uncool and non-trendy booger man target for victims?
Bingo. Exactly. He targets the cool and trendy.
See how that works?
This is how vacant and vapid a large part of the culture has become. They have no redeeming inherent or earned qualities of their own, so they wag their finger all day at the booger man to create some phony image for themselves. Like a bumper sticker, it’s just them advertising some image they want you to see.
It can be hilarious, but mostly it’s sad.

So he can continue to say stupid shite because of his clout? Did you not see his retard comment? Saying that the drug penalties at UGA has nothing to do with UGA.

Patrick is an impulsive dumbass who can't get out of the way of his stupidity. He wasn't the first and won't be the last.
I like to smoke weed. In fact, I would smoke weed often if it would not cause negative implications to myself and those who depend on me to provide for them and myself. So I don't. I would like the law changed myself so but until that occurs I will refrain from harming those who depend on me.
I am provided a company leased F-150 and any fender bender requires me to immediately have a drug test. So, I hav'nt smoked weed in many many years. That is because I am not an impulsive dumbass who would ever put the well being of those who depend on me in Jeapordy.
Patrick has demonstrated that not only will be so this once but he will do it time and again. He has repeatedly shite on those who depend on him including his coach and teammates. All indicators point to the fact that he will likely do this as a father and husband should he ever become one.
People defending him are people who are desperate to be validated by a National Championship . They would excuse away any major character flaw just so they can talk some shite to rivals teams fans and thump their chest while wearing their Walmart t-shirt or hat commemorating an achievement they had zero to do with except watch. They are so desperate to join the NC club that they are okay with a player continually crapping on his coaches and teammates if having him in the mix might help them be able to talk shite to other fans. Shallow as frick.
Jefferson is 110% right on this.

really hard to argue with this
in fact, some of what you have said has me examining some of my own actions and decisions...

For this same reason, I had a boss in my younger years who would never refer to a drug test as a drug test but an intelligence test.

This is an interesting one actually. If the HC follows the rules as written, there is no 3rd strike. He could dress him, but hold him out, which he has the right to do.
Instead of bending the rules to allow the kid to play, he will have to bend the rules to keep him off.

I don't think your reading comprehension skills are what you think they are.
UGA's policies absolutely have to do with UGA. His point is that UGA didn't make Natrez break the rules for a third time. The policies exist and have existed for a long time now. But it's Natrez's insistence on blatantly ignoring those policies and the repercussions therein that has him in hot water.
How about we just have no rules at all? Then we can't blame ANYthing on UGA.

Well that's just stupid. I know they are our rivals and we aren't supposed to say good things about them, but come the frick on, they aren't any worse than any other SEC school. Be real, we should be playing on a level playing field. Handicapping ourselves so that we can puff out our chests and act like we are better than everyone else is just dumb. You play to win the game, not to lose and then claim moral superiority.
Go cheer for Tennessee if you're looking for life championships and 5 star hearts.
