According to Josh on Late Kick, on Tuesday they had someone come speak about this exact thing

If that's true Kirby is getting punked by his team at this point and he should feel embarrassed. He needs to make an example out of someone and do it soon. Hate it for Mondon, but in the real world, actions have consequences. I hope he is kicked off the team.

So you now hope players are kicked off, eh? True colors...

It’ll be handled internally and they’ll all be available week 1.

Yes? True colors? Just because they play for my alma mater doesn't mean I'm going to blindly support them when the frick up off the field.

If true that's insane.

So fricking up off the field deserves to be kicked off? Are there specific levels to this fricking up or is it just a blanket statement?

I trust you can figure out the context to my opinion without resorting to strawman arguments.

Depending on the action, 100% yes.

In this case, we apparently have a lot of players that can’t show the basic level of intelligence and/or respect needed to stop repeating the specific action that directly led to multiple deaths in the program just last offseason.

This is absolutely not acceptable

Now that I've read the police reports, I have no problem with them starting week one.

Having said this, based on what I read, it doesn't seem like this is Mondon's first run in with the law.

Really? The police report doesn't change anything for me. Dude was going 75 in a 45 down West Broad in front of the Varsity at 11pm. That's a high pedestrian area. Easily could have killed someone crossing the street.

It appears that any traffic infractions would result in dismissal, no?

Not arguing that it was wrong, or dangerous, or irresponsible.

However, regardless of the team's former indiscretions, you don't stop educating about the past just because something hasn't happened in the last couple of years. Is Kirby or the university partly to blame?

I have no doubt Kirby will make him pay. I just don't see kicking him off the team as appropriate in this case.

Suspend him 2 games kicking off is making him pay for others actions as well.

I'd be willing to bet more than one of us has done that.

Eh, frick the AJC.

They've had a hard-on against the program for years.

And I say this as someone who thinks Mondon needs to be made an example of.

That’s what happens when you see this happen 23 times in the last 2 years and you still make the mistake

Hard lessons in life need to be learned sometimes

At a min, he should get multiple games suspended
