Once we went to more of a zone over the top, he had trouble recognizing the coverages. I think every one of the INTs was a 2 or three deep guy coming over while the QB only saw the man under coverage. I take that back, the first one he read cover two and the CB stayed with him in man and the QB tried to throw into a zone window that wasn't there. Pretty good adjustment and good execution. The pass numbers were vastly different once we went this route.

Lock is a stud with an accurate and powerful arm. Good insight into our coverage but from what I saw and based on the announcer commentary, the INT's were either due to Lock forcing the pass into double-coverage or simply not being on the same page as his receiver at the time.

Was completely confused in the 2nd half and I'm curious to know how he'll adjust the rest of the season.

I sure as hell wish we had ONE receiver on our roster like that Moore kid. 6'3 and knows how to get open.

It was the routes they were running as well, they were running a lot of seam and stretch routes and he was not recognizing the coverage. I bet if you had film to watch, you would see we were disguising the coverages. He just was not expecting the Safety to be there or he assumed he could get the ball in the spot before the safety got there.

He and his teammates showboat a little too much after a big play. Taunting will catch up to you almost every time. He is still young, once he mature and focus on winning rather than bringing attention to himself he will be lethal.

That kid is a douche bag. Tom Brady doesn't have half that kid's ego.

And let's see how he does the remainder of the season.
He's gonna have to adjust to all the 2 and 3 deep zone coverages that'll be thrown at em after teams watch his 2nd half film.

I wonder if his cockiness lead to him thinking he could make those throws or if he just didn't recognize the coverage.

He did seem a little full of himself. Guess if I wanna kill myself I'd climb his ego and jump to his IQ.

Any kid is more concerned about that stupid haircut being in place in the sidelines than football is a douche.

Odum said after the game that when we went to cover two and zone coverage in the second half they couldn't adjust.
I know Kirby is a believer in man coverage and lots of stunts and blitzes but maybe zone next week is the key to beating ole Miss.

My guess is a little of both. I think you nailed it with the disguised coverage theory, though.

After he threw the first TD of the game he raised his arms and did a slow turn around the stadium like it was all him. I was hoping he would get a little humble pie. I think 3 INTs was a nice helping.
