For wreckless driving and no seatbelt?
Why does ACPD arrest UGA players every time they come in contact with them? bullshite.

It sounded stupid and ridiculous from the 24/7 report.

Everytime no ticket no nothing that is absolutely preposterous

Do people typically get arrested for this?

Some dudes would do it for free if you give them a gun and badge

Let’s just be glad he wasn’t drunk driving at 4:30am…coulda been a lot worse. Glad no one was hurt in the accident, Pickens and McIntosh nor anyone in the other car.

That's my thought. 430 in the AM coming from a party and was stone cold sober, no weed or guns, I'm proud of the young man.

Wreckless driving tends to insinuate the officer reduced DUI charges. The fact that he was arrested tends to support that line of thinking? So for once maybe one of our guys catches a break.

seems pathetic that a designated driver got arrested for an accident

It could be that they felt he was somehow impaired (alcohol or drugs), but did not have enough evidence to charge him with it….
Also could be they were driving, swerving around playing, listening to loud music, sticking their asses out the windows mooning people….

I always wait till more facts come out before commenting

I certainly would like to see more information before making a judgement (holding an opinion, more like), but just speaking to the issue of athletes being arrested more broadly: I don't want to see kids being treated lightly for breaking the law. There are still consequences for actions and it would actually do more harm than good to let them get off and think that they are invincible.

With NIL and other allowances, why not have uber on standby for all players.

I saw the PD report on another site, it doesn't look like alcohol was a factor here. From what I can tell, kenny was simply driving too fast around a blind curve and hit another car that was trying to pull out into the main road. Pretty crappy situation and unfortuante for everyone but as long as he wasn't drinking I have ot imagine that he won't miss any time.

Yea, going 20mph over the speed limit around a corner at 4am can be reckless. Really was hoping more of them trying to moon people
However, the other driver apparently had some pains in the leg and chest and according to police lost consciousness and was transported to the hospital. Hope they are okay.
But to Kenny….Wear your damn seatbelt people. Not worth your life for the 5 secs to put that on.

Having been one and also known many LEOs in GA, yes, reckless driving is an arrestable offense. However, it can also be a judgement call. I also know that from an experience where my brother was driving really, really fast in a Monte Carlo SS because he wanted to see how fast it would go and I was a passenger. The only reason the trooper let us go was because he didn’t have an accurate radar reading….or so he told me months later when I ran into him off duty and we talked about it. He said he could have arrested my brother but didn’t because his radar reading wouldn’t have stood up in court.

Probably didn’t help his case for there to just be a ticket. Guessing there was more than just a simple speeding accident…..no one in their right mind leaves a scene like that just because…
I hope the female driver turns out okay. This sounds like a very fortunate situation that no one was killed

that's weird, because on teh other site I read this on they were giving info from the PD and it said pickens is the one that fled. This 247 article says mcintosh fled. Somebody's got some incorrect info!
And i have to think if mcintosh, the driver, is the one that fled he'd be facing some more serious charges than what he got.
