I very well could be wrong, but I would pick Tennessee to win this game this year. Their passing attack is legit, and that is Alabama's weak spot. Also, UT seems to have a decent pass rush, and with Bryce Young not completely healthy (will he even start?). I'll put it this way. If Bryce Young starts, I think it will be a close game. If he can't go, I think Tennessee will win.

UT has a bad secondary, but Milroe can't exploit that.

Alabama has one of the best pass defenses in the country.

I'm not certain what you are getting at.

Tennessee has fluffed stats against ball st, Akron, and florida.

Agreed. UT fans putting a lot of stake into the LSU win.

That team is depleted and defeated before saturday. Hell, they were down to Auburn by 17 pts.

Well, they are 12th in passing yards allowed, and 8th in rushing defense. While it might not be considered a weakness, it is the weakest part of their defense. Part of that is just my opinion, though, I guess.

Sure, and I get that. It just looks good to me. I guess we will see this week.

It's a game I am definitely looking forward to. I think Tennessee has a great chance to upset Alabama. I am torn about how I feel about the game, to be honest. On the one hand i would like for Alabama to be proven to be not very good and vulnerable. On the other hand, I would also like to see Tennessee get knocked down a notch or two.

I jut have a feeling about this game...and that feeling is UT will either win or give Alabama a good scare.

Who do you think Alabama has looked good against?

I want Tennessee to lose. That way, if for whatever reason we slip up against Tennessee, we could back door our way into the SECCG if Tennessee has another loss.

The outcome of the game is largely irrelevant to our chances at winning the east, IMO.

if we beat tennessee, we would need to lose 2 other SEC games to not win the east. I'd wager that that is unlikely.

if we lose to tennessee, even assumign they lose to alabama, they would also need to lose to one of kentucky, SC, or vandy which let's be honest there's pracitcally zero shot of.

The east is pretty much going to come down to whoever wins between uga/ut.

I had those thoughts, too. Then I start thinking it would be nice for Alabama to lose because....well....no reason really. Just feels, I guess!

We should understand that it appears as if Tennessee is clawing their way back, though. If I KNEW we would beat Tennessee (without a doubt) I could pull for Tennessee to win.

Defensively? Everyone but Quinn Ewers. And they would have figured him out before the game was over.

We need Tennessee to be destroyed by 30. No one wants to listen to those idiots all year. Plus I live here and can’t stand them.

They already said Young will play, and Tenn will lose by at least 20

My thoughts, too. (Except the part about Alabama figuring Ewers out. Bennett just got better as our game went on in the title game, What makes you think Alabama would figure out Ewers?) But Ewers had something like 162 yards in one quarter. At this point I would say Hooker might be as good as Ewers. I do think Ewers has more talent and will surpass Hooker, but they look similar at this moment.

That's one reason I think Tennessee has a shot. Alabama hasn't really played a QB that can throw the ball other than Ewers.

I don't know. I am not saying you are wrong. I mean, we are guessing, but I think Tennessee has a shot, and right now I am thinking they can beat Alabama. If Bryce Young does not play I think Tennessee definitely wins. Again. Just my opinion.

I have not seen this. I saw them say he was practicing a little...and they hoped. Do you have a link where a credible source said Young would definitely play?

Tennessee's offense gives them a shot.

But even at home, with Bama's backup QB, and not winning the turnover battle, I don't see Tennessee outscoring Bama.

I think this is where I get my feeling from.

Milroe just does not look comfortable throwing the ball, to me, and made a lot of mistakes handling the ball. Of course he has a full week to try to iron those problems out a bit, but he has a lot to work on.

However, Alabama clearly does not have confidence i Milroes ability to throw the ball as they only threw the ball 19 times. This from an offense that was averaging almost 32 passes a game prior to that game. You turn Alabama into a one dimensional team and I just think UT can stop them.

Whichever of us is right, it will be an interesting game to watch. Like I said...if Young plays I think it could still be close but Alabama wins. If Milroe is under center, I think UT's chances go way up. Still no guaranteed win, but a very real possibility.
