SEC rant hardly qualifies a beacon of journalistic integrity. Just FYI

Kinda odd that two SEC DC's (UF,UGA) get named as being interested in NFL DC jobs when no one else has... Recruiting fodder IMO...

Nice work Sherlock!

Here's a quote from the article you linked.........
quote:

He can leave for an NFL coordinator’s job or college head coaches’ job with no penalty.

Not unheard of for a NFL team to pay $1 mil+ to a coordinator. His contract allows him to leave for the NFL without penalty, I believe.

Do what? "Finally has all his guys" Dude, we had 9 NFL prospects on defense including three 1st rounders and the SEC defensive POY...WTF? Don't hold your breath on this guy...it would freakin be a blessing if he went to the NFL.

Except it could decimate the remainder of the 2013 defensive class. Probably no Foster, no Adams, completely shuts the door on Matthew Thomas, Shaq could flip to SCAR, etc. You get the point.

See previous post...WTF difference does it make if he can't coach em? We kept Garner around WAY to long just for his "recruiting abilities"

Story is definitely picking up steam. No matter how you feel about Grantham, this is not good for our chances of getting Adams or Foster. IMO, Johnson is a lock.

What would happen with the rest of his staff? This would be messy.

So he's a candidate it's not like there's rumors of him leaving

You're right about that. But if he did leave, the timing couldn't be worse. Do you really think he would turn that down if it were offered? With his and Quinn's being the only names mentioned, an offer could be coming shortly.

The Eagles will be retarded to take a staff made up of college coaches and try to field a NFL team. The Eagles need to bring in an established NFL DC or else the Chipp Kelly experiment will last one terrible 1-15 season.

Why are you guys so worried? They are looking for someone familiar with stopping the spread. That counts CTG out.

True. The main reason he's a candidate is because of his 11 years in the league, albeit most as a position coach and not a coordinator. It sure isn't because he coached a stellar defensive unit in 2012.
