I well remember Jimmy Orr. I was a 9 year old NFL fan the year that Orr entered the league. I had forgotten that Orr was a Dawg. RIP Jimmy.

I remember when he played at Baltimore. He was catching passes thrown by Johnny Unitas. I don't remember him at UGA, before my time of following college football.

Went to HS with his daughter and he had a bar called Jimmy Orr's End Zone back in the day.

ETA:Had an outstanding pro career. ROY, several pro bowls and a Super Bowl

He was a favorite of my grandmother's in Athens. I have an old youth league football he signed for her when she was visiting my Aunt in Seneca and he was home before heading off to the pros.

I used to root for Bart Starr and the Green Bay Packers over their rival the Baltimore Colts with Johnny Unitus Jimmy Orr, and TE named John Mackey. It was a wonderful time in the NFL back then.
