Tap the brakes. Maybe we should worry about beating Florida, first.

we're idiots posting on message boards, I'm pretty sure what we say or type has no bearing on how the team plays. I've already counted jax as a win and am strictly looking ahead to the SECCG.

We really won't know until we actually play them but several teams have stuffed Bama's running game early forcing them to throw the ball. Of course the same has happened to our offense. I think it's just typical when any decent defense is fresh and fired up.

I will say this, Hurts really hasn't impressed me other than his composure aka he doesn't make many mistakes. I know Jalen has more dual-threat capability but honestly I would rather have Fromm now even in his Freshman season. Fromm simply seems to have more potential.

Alabama is averaging 500 yards a game on offense. Where exactly are y'all getting the notion that the Tide offense is struggling?

ETA: My response was to you because it was the last one. Not saying you were calling Alabama's offense bad.

I agree that Fromm is probably the better QB prospect long term than Hurts. Hell, Tua is definitely better.

Where in her post did she say Bama's offense is struggling?

This statement would get you banned on the Bama board.

Not the Fromm part.....

The Hurts Tua part.

You know it is true.

Nah. I'm friends with our mod.

Jalen gives us the best chance to win as it currently stands and I don't see that changing this season.

However, no one can deny that Tua is the better prospect moving forward. The kid is special.

Bama obviously has the better overall players of any team if the recruiting rankings are to be believed and I do think the recruiting rankings are pretty accurate. And Saban has proven himself to be the best coach in this era if national championships are a measure and they certainly are.

But I do think Bama has huge untapped offensive potential due to Saban's conservative offensive strategy: emphasis on execution and don't beat yourself with mistakes. And I think this conservative philosophy can make them vulnerable at times against opponents with prolific offenses and solid defenses.

Bama has played only 2 decent teams so far: FSU, who lost again tonight to Louisville and A&M. It will be interesting to see how the Tide looks against LSU and Auburn. LSU's young talent appear to be getting it together and Auburn's defense is good enough to limit Bama's offense.

Regardless, I hope for a rematch with Alabama in the SECCG.

Me too.

An Alabama-Georgia matchup in Atlanta would be awesome.

Tua will be the best QB in the nation as soon as he gets the starting QB job, and that is scary as a non-Bama fan. They've always had serviceable QBs with great units around them. Id hate to think how good they will be with an actual great QB.

Tua, Najee, and Jacobs are a scary thought.

Notre Dame is a damn good rushing team with a better OL than Bama

Pretty sure this isn't correct. I mean, they are a good rushing team, but their OLIne is not as good as Bama's.

Might be a playoff team

If there is a way for the committee to get them in they will. However, they kept the Big 12 rep out a couple fo years ago because they did not have a championship game, so it will be interesting to see how they justify ND getting in without playing in a championship game.....particularly if the championship game is the only one we lose.

stanford,

Stanford is not very good and will have 4-5 losses at the end of the year, so I wouldn't count them.

just hate the thought of having to beat a team we've already beat. Granted I think we're a good bit better than ND so I wouldn't necessarily be "scared" of a rematch, I just don't like the premise.

This happens in almost every playoff system known to man.

Then Fromm/Fields-Swift/Zeus on our side and those D's. I see a lot of 2 SEC team playoffs in our Futures

I think the Big 12 gets left out if TCU loses. That conference has been garbage

I think this too. and if ND is in the playoffs with Georgia, the committee will put ND in the other 1st game rather than match us with them again.
