Nah, murder is objectively worse.

I'm basically with you on this.

This one has more to unpack. Going to a police station to fill out a formal rape report the next morning brings a hell of a lot more attention and grief than simply making your "walk of shame" out to the driveway.

I'm in a group text with old friends and one of the JT Nation guys (was also an Eason and Fields worshipper) said this exact thing. 'Too bad it wasn't Stetson Bennet'.

The difference between you and I is that you care more about how things look, whereas I care more about the results of a full investigation.

I’m not ignoring anything, but I’m also not presuming someone guilty until proven innocent

Our judicial system is so far beyond fricked up. A drunk man and drunk woman can eagerly go home from the bar and have sex. The woman can wake up the next day and say she was raped because she "can't give consent while intoxicated". This is more likely than not what happened here.

She didn't want her boyfriend to find out she cheated on him with a football player so she claimed he got her drunk and raped her. Way too many men gets their lives ruined in shitty situations like this.

False rape claims continue to happen because the woman NEVER gets punished for it. I think false rape claims should be punished with the exact same sentencing that actual rape gets punished with. That is the only way this shite will ever stop.

Regret sex is not the same thing as rape, ladies.

Maybe my phrasing could have been better. That’s my fault on that. But to say the WORST thing of acting like someone is guilty is a little ridiculous to me. I was saying it would be worse to be raped.

I blame Norm Macdonald for that

Not enough people have seen the Norm episode of Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

For everyone else, let me explain the joke to you.

Norm and Jerry are discussing the Bill Cosby situation. Norm says a friend of his was most disturbed by the hypocrisy of Bill Cosby, you know, pretending to be mr family man, wholesome, etc, while all this rape was going on in the background. And Norm said, no, I think the worst thing was the rape.....

Unfortunately, the Athens banner dude will have him guilty and the #metoo’s will go crazy. As evident in this very thread

Absolutely. It completely hurts actual victims of rape because there are people out there who are regretting their decision or $ chasing and it’s also completely damaging to the falsely accused.

This can be true, and AA's alleged humping of a passed out girl can also be true.

I’ve watched way too many Norm videos in the last month.

RIP.

I guess if the walk of shame involves telling the boyfriend, maybe rape is the easier way out seeings what that boyfriend is going to tell people about what she did? Just a thought… seems as believable as Anderson having to do something like that to get with a girl? Those guys have them all over them.

We don't know if that's what happened here. We simply do not know the facts at this point. It's telling, though, that you automatically assume that the woman crawled into bed with him (i.e. she initiated it).

Not saying it never happens, but probably doesn't happen a whole lot. It isn't 1955. "Walk of shame" isn't really that big of a deal in college.

Nope, just your misogyny.
