Gonna be old and naive here but I find it slightly annoying that a team that is so focused and has everything to play for even has guys out partying less than 48 hours before a big game. I know I sound like an old man but during the season, especially a successful one, I may go out, but I’d call it early. Bigger fish to fry than booze and broads.

I'm with you.

You can't put yourself in a situation where shite like this can happen, whether he's guilty or not. If he was at home asleep in his dorm room where he should have been, none of this happens. He was "out of position" in real life. This should be a teaching moment for the rest of the team, on and off the field.

The fact she went to the cops the same day lends a great deal of credibility to her story. It's not like she waited 6 weeks or months or years to come forward. I hate this so much. We need to go ahead and accept the fact that AA is done here.

True, but you can’t assume rape without proof. Anyone can accuse anyone of rape. If the rape didn’t actually happen then it’s not the worst thing. You don’t ruin someone’s life over something that has not yet been proven. He should be looked at and treated like an innocent man until and unless he is proven otherwise.

Gonna agree and say that regardless of whether or not it’s true, he is done here in Athens

I’m saying that raping someone is worse than deciding someone is guilty too early. That’s not some sort of hot take.

Look, there’s an ongoing investigation. I’m not one of those people that say “this person is guilty” or “this person is innocent” when I don’t know the facts. Same thing is going on with Dave Portnoy for Barstool. I can’t stand Portnoy, but there are people that are acting like he’s guilty already based on one article they read. I’m not sure how someone can know that unless they were in the room or they have seen the facts from the investigation.

I just think dismissing it as if the person is automatically innocent is just as bad as acting like the person is already guilty.

I truly hope he’s innocent and there was a misunderstanding of some sort. I just don’t know, so why would I speculate on it.

Likely wasn’t gonna be a now story until somebody started the rumors. It’s likely police were just getting all the facts aligned.

Guessing it’s unlikely they were the only two people at this house. For his sake, he better hope others can back up whatever his side is.

Agree, her coming forward immediately is an indication but in today’s world this could go drastically either direction.

Full disclosure- Spaceman Spiff is an admitted sexual deviant and Flexdawg is still waiting for the AZ audit results to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Who was that player that was falsely accused a few years ago - how did his life turn out?

Not good. I don’t think falsely accusing someone is ok, at all. But you’re literally ignoring the possible rape victim here.

That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.

Yes, if it’s 100% true that someone was raped, then yes it is terrible.

We do not know if someone was raped, so using a fact as something applicable to Adam Anderson, when we do not know if he raped someone is idiotic.

Accusing someone of rape without proof is just as bad as rape itself. You could be destroying a human being for life because of a false claim of a heinous act.

What's that have to do with your own deviations from sexual norms?

Thank you for letting me know

I try and be someone who likes listening to both sides of things but in today’s world that doesn’t really go over too well.

I don’t expect a corrupt government to overturn anything.

Maybe my phrasing could have been better. That’s my fault on that. But to say the WORST thing of acting like someone is guilty is a little ridiculous to me. I was saying it would be worse to be raped.

I blame Norm Macdonald for that

I am an old and probably showing my age by this statement but when did a young woman whom is highly intoxicated that crawls into the bed with a young man that is probably intoxicated automatically get the benefit of the doubt when she has to explain her walk of shame and shields her remorse with rape allegations?

Yeah, destroying a potentially innocent mans life over a potentially false accusation definitely isn’t equivalent to destroying a woman’s life by a heinous act.
