Is LSU's defense one of the worst UGA will have seen all year?

I know, I know, A&M and GT first but

National Total Defense rank/YPG/UGA's Yardage vs. that opponent

10. Mizzou 297.6 YPG, UGA 339
13. Florida 303.5 YPG, UGA 398
23. Auburn 325.8 YPG, UGA 251
25. Texas A&M 327.6 YPG, UGA TBD
28. Notre Dame 330.6 YPG, UGA 339
30. Kentucky 333.7 YPG, UGA 270
34. Tennessee 348.6 YPG, UGA 526
47. LSU 367.8 YPG, UGA TBD

As you can see, Georgia outperformed opponent's defenses averages all season. Which, may be expected, but still interesting.

Also giving up 23.8 points per game and a whopping 29.5 points per game in conference ranking 9th and 10th in the SEC respectively.

Their weakness actually seems to be through the air, as bad as they got torched by Ole Miss for 400 yards on the ground. Passing Defense ranks 11th in the SEC overall and 13th in conference match ups.

If we can slow down LSU just a bit, get stops where we can and control the ball and keep Burrow's touches at a minimum, we can easily win this game.

They remind me of Oklahoma back in 2017. Great offense with a trash defense.

LSU eating the rat poison on a commercial/industrial scale. I mean they have eaten enough rat poison to kill 2.7% of the rats in the Quarter alone. That's a a whole lot.

Both I guess. I was a little weary knowing the matchup with the number one team and the Heisman front runner.

I set out to feel a little better about the game but when I looked at it I was astonished at how pedestrian their defense is.

It's a pretty good matchup considering our ball control style.

Their defense is absolute garbage. Their insanely good offense is what keeps them alive. If our offense can get enough long drives going it's going to really limit their chances to score.

They very may well score 30 or so points but they're not going to score in the 40s and 50s like the Rant believes

I've been thinking that this game will resemble the Rose Bowl. Just hope we come out on top again.

Whatever we did in the second half against Tennessee is what we need to do for the rest of the year. That is our only good half of offensive football this year.

How much defense do you need when you can score on every possession

They’re not gonna score every possession vs GA — just like they didn’t at home vs AUB. Except in ATL, they won’t get away with as many egregious offensive holds as they did in Baton Rouge.

Fromm should have a good game. LSU’s pass defense is not all that. Their run D is decent so we need Fromm & our receivers to step up & open the door for Swift & co. We also need to convert 3rd downs in the 4th to rest the D & ultimately end the game.

Our offense will score on LSU. We need Camarda to pin Burrow deep & let our D work its magic.

We can beat LSU. They know it. GA gonna ruin LSU’s perfect season & hand heisman Burrow a bad game.

It's just some good natured banter. I don't want our sports board to be a safe space.

Their defense has not performed well at times. At times they have been downright bad.

The reality is that they have NFL talent at every level of the defense. They will turn it on when they need it.

Furthermore, our “offense” relies on matchups and beating people one on one. That won’t be easy against LSU, because man for man, they are as talented as any team in the country on defense.
