LSU's defense smothered Clemson last night. It wouldn't surprise me if Dabo got fired during this season. They looked terrible.

So…. ClemPson sucks. They’re awful. Maybe 3-5 wins tops this year. LSU is essentially Ole Miss from a year ago with a better defense. I had no idea Eugene Wilson went to LSU. That kinda changes things for me. Levett was aight. I think he can be exploited with right scheme. Lane’s offense didn’t miss a beat though. I think you’re looking at a UGA-Tx-LSU race this year.

Clemson is bad. Their O line was borderline disfunctional and the play calling was terrible. D line couldn’t get penetration, tackling sucked, etc.

LSU has some players and Lane is a vast improvement over Kelly…even if it’s just in attitude only….but Clemson is inept.

Clemson was awful. Any of the top teams in the SEC or BIG would have done the same thing to them.

I like Dabo. He's a good dude, but Clemson is poorly coached these days.

Clemson is bad. You call a wheel route but don't throw to the guy who's wide open for a TD? No one was within 15 yards of him.

Leavitt is better than I thought but he’s gonna wind up banged up if he’s not careful. Clemson doesn’t have the talent they once did but the ACC isn’t great so they’ll still probably win 7 or so.

Clemson’s window of success was due to their elite coordinators they had at the time. Dabo does not understand this and truly believes that if he keeps having team pizza parties and giving the same cringe press conferences over and over that glory will return

He was interim coach after Bowdins fifth Sun got fired mid season. Actually after the first game maybe? He kept the staff together for a while until they left. And then it has got real There’s no way he survives another season

Who would want this douchebag heading their program?

Why weren't they winning with Bowden?

You commented that he kept Bowden's staff together, implying that is why they won early on. I was curious as to why they won under Dabo but not under Bowden.

Fact check me but I believe there was a first game loss to Tennessee. And fans press etc were out for bowfins scalp. They got it. Dabo held a pizza party and let people pick their own toppings and there was a salad bar. You could also get a baked potato . I’m not really an expert on what happened next but it’s pretty revealing that Dabo inherited a program as an interim coach and it’s now ending this way.

The modern example is Pete Goldblume at ole Miss. he inherited the program. Let’s see how he does vs the hot hand he got handed

I'm not disputing you. I was seriously asking the question.

At the time Dabo was named the full-time HC, I thought it was a hire that was "beneath" Clemson. I was wrong. He won natties.

It cracks me up when people say, "he can only win when he has a dynamic QB".

He managed to convince two of them to come play for him. He was good at replacing OCs for a while, but much like Bobby Bowden, you can only do that so many times.

Maybe he vectored in at the perfect time in the space and time continuum deal

I think Dabo was like the green double zero in a roulette wheel. Nobody in their right mind bets that. But the universe says it can hit. And so it goes

Dabo is his on worst enemy. Refusing to get portal guys like the rest of the country really hurt him when this all began. Not to mention he don't have the elite coordinators he had when he had that run. I do believe he's getting fired but it'll be more of a respectful fire more like he's going to step down on his own and get some kind of administrative role if he chooses to take it.
