You can look down at the “Darnell updates” thread and see speculative info on the players you’re asking about, and others. I don’t think any of us know for sure, yet.

I saw in another site X-rays came back negative. After searching, it appears to be a strain and soft tissue bruise.

Update as of today

“Questionable.” I’m keeping my expectations low but will be ecstatic if he plays.

Huge part of the offense.

Big loss if he can't go

That still doesn’t mean he’s “good”. If it’s strained it has to hamper his mobility and the re-injury risk would be very high, especially for a human his size.

Even if they do whatever to make him not feel the pain, it’s still going to be an issue, I would have to imagine.

It’s a little different now than it was back in the day. Especially for top athletes. He’ll get the best medical/rehab care available. If it’s not a bad tear, and it sounds positive, he could be close to 100% by game time.

Promising news.

“Kirby Smart told me that TE Darnell Washington’s leg injury is not an ankle sprain,” Smith said on his Twitter account.

“Smart said the injury is a ‘soft tissue contusion and strain,’ (and) does not require surgery.”

Smart said Smart told him the type of injury Washington suffered makes it more likely that he will play against TCU in the CFP title game at 7:30 p.m. next Monday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

Ladd got up from an early pass (or was run) and was limping pretty bad. Later when he made the 2pt. conversion he ran on the field with no issues. It's a strange injury.

You need to flip the sequence. The two point conversion he was limping badly. Then on the GAME WINNING TD drive(1:49 left in the game), Bennet went deep to McConkey on the free play. That is where he looked fine. Seeing him go deep on that play and run off the field gives me hope he will be ready next week.

Georgia watched as one of its top offensive stars went down with an injury last time out, but things appear to be progressing well for Darnell Washington.

Apparently no boot, no limp for big 0 at the game last night. Good sign

Yeah. Walking and running, etc are two different monsters.

If he can at least have some strength then DW at 75% is still an effective blocker/ size mismatch. I feel like he’ll give it a go if it’s close.
