There’s no reason with 14 million people watching the game we should have Matt “native Texan” Loeffler daylighting as a Texas business owner and then calling major college football by night.

It’s an absolute joke.

Form a union. Hire national refs, training and standards, and, using money from each member of each Big 4 conference, pay them enough to make it be a full-time gig required. You’ll get better performance from the current crop and attract new referees at lower levels to work their way up.

Man this makes too much sense. The only way it happens though is if the SEC and BIG agree to initiate it and the other conferences can opt in. It’s going to to be the big two soon enough no need to wait for this to happen.

Should we just accept atrocious referees?

Because I actually think a nationally based association of referees is the absolute BARE MINIMUM
