Hell yeah let’s get the cünt hünt war wagon fired the frick up with two easily winnable games and a playoff run on the line.
I remember just being numb to it all after the 2015 season and the richt firing. I was ready for it. I was cautiously optimistic about hiring Kirby. I also posted a fire Kirby smart thread in 2016 during the ole miss loss. Come get some.

Not Griffin, but, I fail to see the point in this post, unless you are trying to shame Peter Buck. People can be wrong, and he’s wrong a lot. Hindsight’s always 20/20.

yeah. I wasn't one of them, but I can kinda at least sympathize with their emotiosn at the time. It was a pretty trying time for a lot of UGA fans considering how long Richt had been here and how much he meant. From 02-05, 07/08, 12/13 we had stellar QB play and almost every one of those years saw us win a bunch. SEvearl of those years we knocked on the door of a title. Eason was ranked higher than almost any non-Stafford recruited we'd gotten thsi century, so it stands to reason taht if we got him instead of relyign on greyson lambert, it would sovle a lot of our problems. I get it. But obviously the right call was made.
You're seeing the same kinda thing now in gainesville. They all know napier sucks but a lot of their fans were wanting to hang onto him to keep their recruiting class together. Although now most of them are jumping ship so taht's out the window lol

Eason still came
Eason playing at a small school got a lot of mileage out of that but in reality should have been a 3 star.
Kirby Smart outside of Nick Saban was the best coaching hire this Century in college football.

To be fair, there were many Richt defenders. I think Richt ultimately sealed his fate when he hired that OC that was absolutely out of his league coaching in the SEC.

On January 7, 2015, it was announced that Schottenheimer would take over as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Georgia Bulldogs football team of the University of Georgia, under head coach Mark Richt. Following Richt's firing at the end of the 2015 season, Schottenheimer announced on December 14 to his position players that he would not return as a Georgia Bulldogs assistant coach in 2016.

Richt sealed his fate when he started Faton Bauta against Florida and we got arse raped 27-3.
