I'm not even talking about this season really. Obviously Stetson is not the QB of the future. D'Wan doesn't seem to be the guy. Daniels is uncertain and Beck is a true Freshman.

Is Vandagriff an automatic starter next season? Kirby needs to start thinking about next season. We NEED either JT or Beck to get some experience this year because if we go into next season without a game ready QB - who actually has the ability to win against elite competition - then we're screwed.

We could potentially have to suffer through an entire year of Stetson this year

and then....

suffer through an entire season next year with a true freshman QB taking our lumps before we have the QB position settled.

What transfer QB's are on the market after this season?

When you stop touching yourself at night. And not a moment sooner.

Next season will be a early mix of Daniels and then it is BVG team at some point.

It’s my opinion things would have to be REALLY bad to see BVG next year in anything other than mop up duty. But I always thought Kirby must have sold Jamie and JT on a one and done model, until Jamie backed out which threw this year in flux. Saw the plan as this:
-Newman transfer in with expectation to handle ‘20 season
-bring in JT who is looking for greener pastures but doesn’t want to rush back and still have a prime position to play comes in after Newman
-Newman hands the reigns over to JT for ‘21 after the draft, he plays up to his 5 star tag, plays one year in SEC and heads to the draft
-BVG has a year in system and wins QB competition vs. whoever hasn’t transferred out in ‘22.

That scenario let’s Kirby have experience and leadership in the QB room. Or would have :)

To see JT on the sidelines not even looking like he is itching to play seems suspect. He either knows he isn’t medically ready or the plan wasn’t for him to. I know I’d be chomping to get in. Just another unordinary experience for UGA.

I think Nix is still the answer for your team. They just need a better scheme for him.

Didn't even have to look at the name to know who posted. How'd your FSU beating boys do vs Clemson Saturday?

It's astounding how many idiots think I'd waste my time posting about Georgia while secretly cheering for another team.

Anyway, yea it's interesting during the broadcast how Daniels isn't even discussed once. UGA staff must've told CBS during pregame meetings that JT shouldn't be brought up cause D'Wan is probably the backup.

At this point, if Mathis really is the backup then play him against Kentucky for a half and see how it goes.
