I keep landing near the top but haven't won one yet. Tween is a force this season.

shite. I forgot about that. He's been on quite a journey.
He's going to get pissed that I'm bring attention to him, but Tween has been HGMF runner-up three times.

I saved Bite twice last year and my points gave Tween the win this week. Sometimes you want to see what people will do first before stating your case. I do not wish to grovel for my life like some - the whole honor thing - but I have no problem stating a reasonable case to move on to the next week.
In previous games I do not remember having to state a reason for someone to send you on another week as it seemed if quarter had been given, it was respected in the following weeks or years. I think Sandwich spared me in HGMF IV and I have returned the favor in later games.
I believe we all want to win, but seeing what somebody does without prompting is more important if you want to find those most likely to assist and are cool if you win. I could have killed you last year but you had shown correct action prior so were worthy of being saved.
When I start every year my goal is just to get to the Final Four and then hope the other three are worthy competition that no matter who wins, we all were the best to get there. Maybe it is just old school mentality but it is too ingrained to not play that way.
