Bored today and thought I'd see how many Heisman winners I've seen live. Turns out its 9. Decided to rank them.

1. Herschel - enough said
2. Tony Dorsett - saw his first and last games, great back
3. Joe Burrow - best all around QB I've ever seen
4. Bo Jackson
5. George Rogers
6. Danny Wuerffel
7. Tim Tebow
8. Mark Ingram
9. Derrick Henry

Tebow being lower than 2 is just simply not possible. Dude was unstoppable for multuple seasons not just one. Burrow's season may go down as one of the best all time but he wouldn't make the top 25 to 30 list easily. People forget what its like to see unreal consistency from year to year.

1. Herschel
2. Tebow
3. Wuerffel
4. Jackson
5. Dorsett

And idk why I'm chosing from this list but Jake Scott was a more consistent college player than Burrow!

Tebow
He wasn't even the best player on that offense.

I agree, but he was better than Danny W.

Having seen both live it’s hard for me to not be more impressed watching Cam Newton. Yea, Tebow has the career but Cam didn’t have the same quality of weapons and physically the guy was just insane. Seeing him in person only magnified that. I went to a Titans Panthers game a while back and able to go on the field and Cam walked by and I was blown away with how big he was.

With that, I reckon I’ll do my list even though it’s not quite as long:

1. Cam Newton
2. Tim Tebow
3. Baker Mayfield
4. Joe Burrow
5. Derek Henry
6. Kyler Murray (hardly counts cause I only saw him catch a pitch but I’m counting it)

Baker over Joe B?

Come on, man. I understand LSU fans are beyond obnoxious right now, but Joe really is better than Baker in almost every way.

Oh I agree, my ranking is more based on the performance I saw. I saw Burrow in 2017 where he was meh. I saw Baker fist our defense for a half. It’s why Kyler is at the bottom.

Burrows peak is better than Baker’s. His 2019 crushes Baker’s 2017.

how you rank them can determine a lot, but I'll personally just with what I felt as an "overall rating". In other words, not just the game I saw them in, or even that season, but just how I view them in general

1) Newton- Turned AU from an otherwise 5 loss team into title winners. Didn't have great receivers, or an elite OL, and the defense was barely above average. He simply didn't let his team lose
2) Burrow- perhaps a bit of recency bias, idk. The thing about burrow is that he's the same guy as 2018, a year that saw Fromm put up better numbers pretty much across the board. So that's the difference? 2019 Burrow has a playcalling savant that is dialing up perfect plays all game. He also has stellar receivers and RB. Wiht that said, he's still undeniably a baller and can improvise so well. He still deserves all the credit for hwat he's doing.
3) Mayfield- It's irritating watching a QB that is so accurate it's scary. Not talkign abotu copmletion percentage, which can be skewed by elite WRs grabbing everything, but more so putting the ball in a saucer-sized window exactly where it needs ot be. Also a good scrambler. Our defense shut him down in the 2nd half but still probably one of teh better players I"ve seen live.
4)Henry- don't really recall a lot of specifics abotu his tenure but someone with that body shape doing the things he does is just crazy. Put up an insane amount of yards.
5) Tebow- Ridiculously overrated IMO. Was never a scary passer and made his entire career on being a physically punishing player that would score at will from inside of 10 yards. Also had the luxury of throwing to percy harvin for 3 years (IMO, the single most important player to win their titles) and some elite defenses, particularly 08. Also heisman winners generally don't let their teams lose 4 games in the year they win it.
6) Ingram- like henry I don't recall a ton of specifics about his career aside from being kind of a poor man's nick chubb- not flashy, not realy doing anything insane, just kinda slowly chipping away here and there and before you know it he's got 100 yards. Toby Gerhart had just as good if not better claim to the heisman that year anyway, I think the voters just saw that bama was undefeated and really good and found out bama had never had a winner before so just gave it to him.

oh also, funny but unrelated comment about henry.

I was bored yesterday and looking back at some really old threads and saw a recruiting thread from when derrick henry decommitted from us. I don't hold it against anyone for having opinions then that turned out wrong, I mean hindsight is perfect after all, but there were some funny ones in there. The one that stuck out to me most was from durden, who said somethign like (paraphrasing), "he'll never make it as a RB anyway. He's a natural born linebacker and we're the only ones stupid enough to offer him as a running back" lol

Oh shite, Ingram was on that 08 team. So I have 7 I’ve technically seen play.

I add Ingram to back of my list
