Wonder how the Title 9 ramifications work if Vandy has a coed football team now?

I really didn't get it.

could their punter not handle the emergency kicking duties?
Was she really a better kicker than other males in the student body? Im assuming they have club soccer for men at Vandy

It was a a stunt, I am all for the growth in girls sports but a kickoff is the most brutal play in sport. Nothing went wrong but it could have.

She has played soccer her whole life so we need she had some kicking talent. It takes a lot of kicking talent at the sec level. Like everything a male kicker has, who has done it his entire life.

I'd like Mason as our DC.

I'd rather have Muschamp. Mason might end up back at Florida. Mullen doesn't seem real happy with 3rd and Grantham.

He got fired for going 3-9 this year and 0-8 this year.. had nothing to do with the girl.

I said that earlier... even if its a club sport, there should be someone who could do better

Their men’s varsity soccer team was ended in 2006 due to Title 9. So, no men’s team to pull from. It would seem football is now Co-Ed, so they can now have a men’s soccer team again to find a kicker from if need be. Vandy is playing chess.

Probably the reason for the squib kick....very low chance of her being trucked compared to a low line drive kick down the field...

I used to watch UGA womens soccer a bit when I lived in Athens...it was good mid week activity with some fun extra curricular activities for kids.....a good time in the community....and most of the Goalies could kick a soccer ball from end of the field to the other...it was impressive....of course a soccer ball is more aerodynamic but comparable in weight I would think....it ought to be possible a female soccer player could kick a football off a tee into the end zone...but if it came up short or the receiver decided to return it the kicking team would be at a worse disadvantage than they would be with a male kicker in most cases....no one would really want to see a girl get trucked...I know it sounds funny and is good for a joke but when someone's daughter is laid flat on her back in the middle of 100K people and has to be removed on a stretcher it ain't funny no more....it ain't funny when its a male player....regardless of how "progressive" we are it'd be worse with a female....

Men and women are not physically equal. No man can give birth to a child....and the vast majority of women are not built for football. No matter of progress will ever change this. Men and women should equal anywhere it is not a question of physical attributes because its only right...but there is no way to get around nature and nature says most women are not physically adequate to play linebacker in the SEC...most men aren't either....

The point is, since football is Co-ed now, they can add another Varsity male sport under title 9. It’s brilliant!
