I'm hoping for a Dabo like trajectory. Clemson for a couple years and then pay a good OC a frick ton of money to stay and make the offense a force.
If you retards who bitch and moan all the time zoom out...three straight 11-1 seasons is pretty strong. We are close. Just have to keep at it. It will break our way one day, it just has to. Right?? Right.

Kirby is stubborn so I have no doubt that he will keep Coley for atleast 2 more season rather than fire him and admit he was wrong. We’re wasting an elite defense by complementing it with such a dysfunctional offense. In short, yes, I don’t think he will get us any closer to a national title than Richt did (or Smart did himself two years ago). Smart brought in elite talent early on because kids bought that he was next big thing, but he runs the risk of squandering all of that by “playing it safe” and promoting guys who aren’t fit for the job.

Richt was a dropped pass vs Florida (a dropped pass from UGA’s most proflic receiver) away from going undefeated and playing for a national title in 2002. I would rank that season as on-par with Kirby’s 2017 season.

If he keeps Coley next year then we can expect to come up short again just like tonight. Kirby was hired to get us over the hump and his shelf life is beginning to diminish.

We had our entire WR corps leave at once. He's recruited some really good talent at that position but they weren’t in a place to take over full time right away. It’s unfortunate but I don’t think that makes him Richt 2.0. Maybe if his recruiting results take a permanent hit we can claim that title for him. We will see.

Richt never sniffed a natty because he did t have a playoff system. He easily could have won 3 if the current system existed. 02, 07, 12. Kirby made it to the natty as the three seed in the playoffs. So if he coached under the same system Richt did, he wouldn’t have sniffed one either.
