Instead of having the "sticky note" icon next to threads that get stickied, maybe we can get chicken to create a Welfare Check icon............ or an EBT Card icon to go next to them..................

You are missing the point. The purpose of those stickies is so a new topic doesn't get created every time Upton strikes out.
It would be fine to just have a floating Braves thread like the Spunky thread, but the general population is too lazy to go back 2, 3, 9 pages to find it and bump it with "Fire Gonzolez!".
They will simply just litter the board with more bullshite.
Also, I enjoy the Football recruiting thread as a daily digest and it's hard enough to follow as it is... keeping the basketball recruiting out of that thread is something I dearly support.
If that means we have to keep an "Other Sports" sticky to keep the FB recruiting topic cleaner, I'm for it.

You're idea is to permanently clutter the board with stickied threads...........as a strategy to prevent the board from an occasional thread here or there temporarily cluttering the board.

If un-EBT'd*, the Recruiting Thread would go nowhere. It's the undisputed heavy-weight champion of the board and would remain at the top based on it's own merit.
* Note to GSB "community organizers" and others. "EBT" has now replaced the word "sticky" here in an effort to keep the GSB as honest as possible.

DGD, How about a compromise for the sake of the start of Football Season? Let's un-EBT all the threads but the Recruiting thread.

14 threads not stickied on the top 2 pages have less than 10 replies.
I agree we don't need to get crazy on stickies, but with hundreds of replies on each sticky, it's fine to me. Falcons replace Braves...spunky will keep his on the first page without a sticky. No harm here.

Best description of that board I've ever seen. Although at least every second post from a South Carolina poster doesn't include tears over UGA's easy schedule. During the summer of 2012 that became comically overused.

Just want to point out that it's not even 10AM and threads with posts in them from this morning are heading towards the abyss of Page 2...........while the EBT'd welfare threads at the top have exactly zero posts in them so far today............
