That checks out. Above all else Kirby hates tipped passes in between the hashmarks. That's why every time we play Kentucky, everything is either a bubble screen or back shoulder fade

Really cool. lol. I wish the best for his kid! Not sure why anyone would doubt his commitment to the team after waiting. That’s about all I say all season long.

If you zoom in on the woman's right eyeglass, you can see a reflection of some shite going down. What's that all about?

He also said Carson feels like with the exception of Lovett he feels like it’s 50/50 on whether the receivers will catch the ball on any pattern over 15 yards.
Maybe if they didn't have to reach back or jump 5 ft. off the ground they could catch better. Beck needs to not badmouth his receivers and look at his own film.

It cuts both ways but yea, Beck needs to be supportive of his receivers as Kirby has been supportive of him.
Beck has the ability to be a great QB and is getting good protection from his OL.
Beck needs to improve his accuracy and his receivers need to concentrate on catching the ball.
But part of the issue is coordination between QB and receiver. Beck needs to be able to throw a quick down and out and expect his receiver to be there. That controversial INT vs Texas is a good example of his receiver, Arian Smith, not being there.

I believe he was talking about the route running mostly. Our receivers are green in Bobo’s system. The speed of the game require Carson to anticipate the cut and if the receiver doesn’t make the correct cut, it makes Carson look like he’s incompetent.
ETA; sorry I read gg’s post after I posted this one. They read pretty identically

Accuracy can look deceiving sometimes if the route is not run the way Beck thinks it is supposed to be run. Not saying Beck hasn’t missed, but I think a lot of people see misses that are not solely on Beck… if at all.
Beck has improved a ton on seeing the field vs when he was a backup. If they can clean some of this up, they can elevate the offense another level.

He sees the field great when they are running one coverage, but when the the defense switches coverage (KY, Bama, etc) he goes in to retard mode, as we've seen over and over with ints, etc.

I disagree with this emotional assessment

Did Bama stop switching up coverages in the second half of that game when Beck started playing like a video game QB?

You tell me. Why were things suddenly so more open? How many dropped ints in that game? 7?
Posted on 10/23/24 at 4:35 pm to Spaceman Spiff
Because he had no choice, but to put the ball more at risk because we were down.

He can hit Bell, Smith, and Lovett at a much higher percentage than the rest. He’s getting better at reading Luckie. So that tells me he doesn’t trust some of the others to do what they’re supposed to.
