The administrative mind is a fearful, and fear full, thing. If the Fall is canceled that decision will not be because of concern for players and coaches.

Anyone that didn't see this coming has below average intelligence.

I figured this would happen. It's sad to see how the fearmongering media has such much influence on our society. Football is too dangerous, but the protests and riots that have gone on for two months in the Pacific Northwest are totally acceptable. Such a joke.

I told myself there wouldn't be football this season, and I was ready for the inevitable...

but it still hurts.

That's just stupid, if you get it you have a 99.9% chance of survival and that is actually low as more testing is done the survivability continues to go up.

Our politicians and administrators are drunk on power and stupidity.

Pat Forde and Dan Wolken are probably fighting back multiple orgasms writing these articles.

Throughout history, people in power would rather feel good about themselves instead of anything else.

Not sure why you were downvoted and I never agree with you, but right is right and you are right.

Radi Nabulsi said it best: If they play football, some will test positive. Some will get sick. One may even die.

If they don't play football, some will test positive. Some will get sick. One may even die.

Looks like players are start to unionize a little to try to get a season. I still can’t see it being enough.

The SEC is still pushing to play, I have said that on here all along.

They didn't foresee the Big10 to bitch out though.

If they feel comfortable with the logistics around the liability and so far they have been, they are playing.

Protests and CFB are about as different as Morning and an Automobile...protests are not preventable and the only way to stop them is to come down hard on them which leads to more protests and more people in confined areas, jails, and hospitals during a pandemic when social distancing is advisable. CFB, on the other hand, is controlled....it doesn't happen organically and due to some outside influence....I want football as much as anyone and I think the protests are stupid but one has nothing at all to do with the other....

I don't see the connection between protests and CFB.

Lets say you are 100% correct...even go way further and say it is an international cabal of leftists bent on destroying man kind in a Dr. Evil'esque plot to destroy the species who sent their minions a cryptic message via the international leftist cabal (ILC) telegram system to go out and protest during a pandemic. God created Donald Trump to stop the ILC. Hell, for that matter Donald Trump is God, come back to earth to stop the ILC lead by Satan. Lets say all of that is the gospel truth.

How does that have ANYTHING at all to do with college administrators lacking the risk tolerance to expose their institutions to litigation should the impossible happen and someone come down with the intentionally unleashed chinese virus and suffering imagined irreparable damage to their future?

Lets say all of the wildest accusations about COVID are real and then some....how on earth does that gel with those administrator erring on the side of caution????? The two are simply not related in the least. Protests were a bad idea and the people involved the lowest scum on the earth if thats what you want...they were lead to protest by chips installed by the ILC....whatever one could dream up in a foggy haze of conspiractorial fever....it has zero to do with an institution taking precautions to avoid costly litigation.

Big10 is always trying to prove they are "above football". Like Dawgs pre-Kirby. I'm not the least bit surprised.

We're down to ACC, SEC, and Big12. One more buckles and it's over....if it's not already.

Looks like the SEC is gonna fight the good fight. Some people speculate that if the other conferences cave then the SEC might try to recruit other teams to form a super conference just for the year

If you can't keep a baseball team of 30 guys from going out and getting the virus then how the hell did they expect to keep 100 kids from going out and getting it???
