There are folks out there saying personal situation/maybe medical.
I have no idea, but folks more familiar with what is going on are saying he will be back in school this summer.
Him being a vet, Spring may not be critical.
We need good Dbacks....biggest weakness on the team.

Been through Sprong before and was an early starter before something happened.
Not sure what it was, but he had to be better than some of the dudes that were playing.

Don’t think he was ever a starter, definitely got a lot of PT but that abruptly came to an end when this issue popped up. Hope he gets it together, he has a great build for our STAR position.

Maybe we’ve found a loophole in the rules and are taking advantage of it.

This is how we sign 26 instead of 25. Don't question the process. Be grateful for it.

negative. Gibbs' status has nothing to do with the initial counter limit... If he were to leave the team, he simply vacates space under the 85... but we'll get there without dropping a sophomore 5* athlete. Hopefully he gets his stuff worked out.

According to instagram and also Kirby's press conference, Gibbs is back with the team.
I think it's nuts how so many of us declare a kid a "bust" if they haven't secured a starting spot by the end of their freshman season. God forbid one of them struggles to adjust to college life.
Kid was and is an ELITE athlete. He clearly has some work to do, but he has the chance to be a big time player for us before it's all said and done.

What I heard is that Gibbs is in Athens and working in the weight room and with the trainers, and plans to be in school for the summer session.

Yep he is suppose to be back in school in May.
