Ashton Daniels (Juan Daniels’ son btw) has been insanely clutch.
Three straight years his team has been down a touchdown in the final minutes of the state title game and all three times he took them down the field and threw the tying or winning TD pass.

And Coach Appling becomes the first coach in GA HSFB history to win 3 state titles in his first 3 years as HC.
I will always have the honor to say that I officiated his very first game as HC in the 2019 Corky Kell against Milton. I had his sideline. He's a good dude. I dislike Buford but like Coach Appling a lot.

Scores have been updated to show the AAAAAA final between Buford and Langston Hughes. Best game of the w/e so far. Literally came down to the final seconds.
AAA, AAAAA, and AAAAAAA play today.
Weather is going to play a factor today. Thunderstorms/rain from about 3-3:30 till 9. They should get the 3A final in between Carver-Atlanta and Cedar Grove in b/c they kickoff at 13, but 5 & 7A are looking iffy at best and probably looking at Monday to get them in.

Hughes dominated the first half, went up 14-0. Buford rallies to tie it in the 3rd quarter.
Hughes went up 20-14 in the 4th but missed the XP.
Buford went down the field in the last 5 minutes and made the XP to take the lead. Hughes drove down to the 18 yard line and then tried a game-winning field goal on the last play but it was blocked.

Sucks that they can't play at MCB and Arthur Blank & company can't work something out.He needs all the good publicity he can get.

Yea. The old Dome was run by the GWCC and not Blank and obviously the GWCC was gonna be more accommodating to another state agency and high school FB.
