The scores have been updated. Congrats to Bowdon on B2B titles and their 4th overall. That was a really good game. It was tied at 21 at halftime.

Some horrendous officiating in this Thomas co central game. Like 6 straight penalties against TCC defense to extend the drive twice for Woodward.
Lol and of course Woodward ends up scoring. Basically gifted a td. I’ve seen a lot of south ga teams get screwed by the officiating over the years and it looks like this could be another one if this keeps up.

TCC shouldn’t have been there. A horrendous personal foul call late in game against Rome gave them a chance. So..goes both ways.

Oh I was not aware of — of whatever happened when they played Rome.
I mean it’s high school ball, so I sort of get it. It is just suspicious to have a run of calls like that against one team is all.
After that stretch refs have been pretty balanced actually haha.
TCC just a better team overall than Woodward — they have a lot of good players, and they are big and pretty damn physical. Woodward has some guys too though. That wr no. 12 and the qb is pretty athletic, and then 0 their defensive end.

Congrats to Thomas County Central on their 6th state title and first since 1997. It was a good night for South Georgia as both TCC and Pierce County won on the penultimate day of the season.
Tomorrow 3A, 5A and 7A all play.
