Did any of y’all ever watch those “A Haunting” episodes that used to play on discovery channel about 10+ years ago? There was a bunch of them and they were really freaky. 30 mins long and would show 1-2 stories. The scariest one was “A Haunting in Georgia” which was an hour long special about a haunting that happened down around Columbus I believe. That shite really freaked me out. They were not nice ghosts except for the old man named Mr Gordy that their young daughter was playing with out in the yard and in her bedroom.

Didn’t they find out a man fitting that description lived in the house? And he was protecting her from the evil spirits?

I do. I have simply come to terms with them living up there.

I saw something in my kitchen when I was 8 or 9 years old. Came home from a family outing to see the the laser show at Stone Mountain and went to sleep on the couch. Woke up after a nightmare about being trapped in a cage full of black widow spiders and heard noises in the kitchen. I peeked my head up and looked in there to see something like a woman with no legs, floating by the cabinets. Reminded me a little of the librarian ghost from Ghostbusters. Anyway, it terrified me at the time and I couldn't go back to sleep for hours. Never had another experience like that.

Fast forward many years, and my two oldest kids told me they were scared of some dark shadow man they saw in the house that was really tall. I'm not sure what they saw, but I'm a strong believer in demons and the supernatural, so I don't discount that they saw something.

I'm a Christian with strong faith and am not afraid of demons, but would rather not have to deal with any demonic oppression in my house.

I've had a number of strange things happen. Back in high school when I was a sophomore, I woke up from a disturbing dream to see a human sized flame at the foot of my bed. It did not have discernible arms or look in any way human, except it was about five feet tall and two feet wide and I felt it was watching me. As soon as I woke up and saw it, it took off to my right and that was it. It didn't just disappear though, it's like it fled.

Two years later, I'm a senior and still in the same room. This was back in the days of the record player, and I'd stack records up and play them almost non-stop. I was taking a shower on a Saturday afternoon getting ready for a date (or something) and, in the middle of the shower all of my hair started standing on end, goose bumps everywhere and I felt sudden fear. I stepped out of the shower with the water still going and peered around the bathroom door into my room. The same flame I saw two years ago was there again, at the foot of my bed, but this time it was around 5:00 pm. It seemed to notice I was there and fled again, but this time it seemed to go through the wall to the front yard.

For what it's worth, the song playing at the time was "Fire on High" a song on the Electric Light Orchestra 'Face the Music' album. From that day on I will not listen to that song without getting the serious creeps. I'm fine with the rest of their songs (and I love me some cow bell) but I won't listen to "Fire on High." At least not on purpose.

At the animal clinic where I work, we had a now retired receptionist that had been there for 40 + years. She told me the story of "Henry".
Barbara had an uncanny ability to remember client's names and their pet's names and would say hello to them by their names when they walked in. She said one afternoon when there were no clients, Henry, a long time client walked in and sat down in one of the chairs in the reception area. She said hello to him but he did not respond. She said he did not look well at all so she went to get the practice owner. When they walked back, Henry was gone. Barbara was very concerned about the way he looked so she called the home number ( no cell #s at that time). The wife answered and Barbara explained what happened and that she was worried about him. The wife then said that it was not possible since he had passed away 3 days before.
Now every time something falls from a shelf, we just yell out "Henry, stop it"

I’ve heard those things cause a LOT of damage and sometimes house fires. When you had them removed before did the pest control people not perform a full exclusion ?

I never had them removed, I hired a neighborhood roof guy working on the side to patch any breaches he could find on the roof, chimney, gables, etc.

It didn't work. Those little fricks still live here.

Doesn’t help that the start of that song is fricking menacing

No doubt. It's got a nice rhythm guitar riff in it at some point, but it's not worth the front end of that song. Plus, I think it's one of those songs that has a message when you play it backwards.

Yes it does have backmasking. It actually says:
"The music is reversible, but time is not. Turn back! Turn back! Turn back! Turn back!"
