are any of these guys in favor of decriminalizing marijuana?
Cagle is the only one that I've seen any info on that hints that he's up for considering expanding medical marijuana (particularly in-state cultivation). The others are all "hell no." The only folks looking at decriminalizing it are the Dem women.

The weed issue isn't of primary concern to me, but I do agree with you. I don't do the stuff, but I also don't see an issue with people who do. And I am very much in support of it being readily available for medicinal purposes.
Honestly, abortion is not a high priority for me, either. I believe it's wrong and am personally pro-life; however, I realize that you can't legislate morality. At some point, you've got to offer better resources and better alternatives to women with "unwanted" pregnancies. Abortion shouldn't be the only way out that comes to mind when a woman finds herself in such a situation.
I look at it this way: God tells us what we should do. But He doesn't force us to do it. He has given us a choice in all things, right or wrong, and I don't think this is any different. It's a matter of helping people to make the right choice, on their own.
ETA: Unfortunately, I don't think I could bring myself to pull a lever for Kemp. I knew the guy when he was a builder in Athens (maybe still is?) and some of the folks he kept company with are enough to make me not support him.

How about the mimosa bill that would allow alcohol sales beginning at 11am on Sundays in restaurants...do any of the candidates have public opinion on that?
Posted on 5/17/18 at 1:39 pm to S1C EM
I’m going to reach out to Kemp and Williams and see if they want to issue statements Live, during RibOff3.
None of the others are worth a shite, IMO, but if somebody else wants to reach out to any of em, feel free

So you think commercials about rounding up illegals is embarrassing, but your political priorities are Weed & Mimosas?
Ha ha ha. I love this shite

Ha....didn't know it was a thing. Haven't heard, though.
Personally, I'm in church on Sundays at 11am, but again, I think people have to be able to make their own decisions. It's how we were made.

I never once said it was embrassing. My exact quote was, "he might fare better with public opinion". I don't give the slightest frick about politics so didn't realize this was only for republicans so obviously my comment is then rendered irrelevant since he's clearly appealing to the audience. I actually found the commercials to be entertaining.
I don't really have political priorities other than things that will actually affect my day to day life. Very, very, very few hot button topics in politics, including the big debate over healthcare/aca, have affected me in any noticeable way. Having to wait around until 12:30 on a Sunday to buy a beer does affect me directly.

I tend to grocery shop Sunday mornings. Not being able to throw beer in the cart for later is highly annoying and results in making a second trip to the store in the afternoon. Such a dumb fricking law.

Do you want me to explain how they are affecting you or do you want to remain comfortably oblivious to your own rape?
Take a while to think about how you answer. Once you are shocked out of your ignoramus comma, there’s no going back. I’m being serious here.

Well, they say ignorance is bliss so I don't mind being unaware of what's behind the curtain.
Which policy are you going to explain that's affected me? I think I would like to learn more.

Your choice neo. Pick whichever one comes to mind first.

well the only one I actually mentioned specifically was obama's influence on healthcare, so let's start there.

If I ran for governor, this would be my platform:
1: End emissions testing requirements for all vehicles. It's a scam.
2: End any statewide restrictions on alcohol sales accept for the minimum age of 21. Let local counties figure out their own laws that are appropriate for their communities.
3: End all radio commercials that feature highway sounds such as horns, sirens, screeching tires, etc.
4: Outlaw redlight cameras.
5: Outlaw aftermarket exhaust pipes that create excessive noise.
6: Create task force to drive around Atlanta's roads and interstates all day and night writing tickets to people typing on their cell phones. Its already illegal, but enforcement would be stepped up. I want 1000 tickets a day for a year. Until morale improves.
7: State sponsored tow trucks positioned every two miles on metro interstates to clear accident vehicles in a timely manner. The drivers will be deputized to write citations for uninjured people who leave their vehicle in the road despite it still being driveable to the shoulder.
8: Immediate ground breaking to double Georgia's criminal incarceration capacity, funded initially with bonds and paid back by required minimum sentencing of restitution of $10,000 per year served.
9: Outlaw pit bull ownership.
10: Re-introduce high school vocational programs that all disappeared in the 90's.
11: Charge Florida Deer hunters in Georgia the same price that Florida charges Georgia residents to fish in Florida.
12: Sorry I had to take a call, I'll finish this list later....

We already have the world's largest prison population by percentage of total population incarcerated, and you want MORE people jailed?
