Completely forgot to try and get a room package for the season. Moved a bit further away and it’s rough on family.

Was lucky enough to get Fri/Sat at Springfield for our 4 above average home games. Looks like a few rooms left for those looking.

This doesn’t exist…the only almost average games will be Kentucky (South Carolina will be absolute trash) and Ole Miss…for Kiffen entertainment

Trying to be positive about how much money goes into watching this home schedule each week. I get the Florida game takes one out every other year and love that trip.

Bama has Texas, LSU, Tennessee as home games this year.

Anyway..a few hotel rooms left for those that want to stay over. Used to be impossible to find but some new hotels now built.

The hotel situation in Athens is entirely fricked. Might as well rent an rv

The fact they rent them nearby in Lawrenceville is another good reason to rent one for a game. They are expensive, and then you are paying for a space in one of the RV lots also, so you aren't really coming out ahead financially. Actually probably coming out behind, but also more fun than going back to a shitty hotel room.

let's be honest, the biggest culprit in our shite schedule is mcgarity and the sec office that somehow for some reason made us play at AU back to bakc but didn't make it right. If not for that dumbfrick decision we'd have UT and tech at home in even years and AU and SC at home in odds

Also the additional neutral site games we elect to play in addition to the annual neutral site with Florida. All the CHick Fil A kickoffs and such.

With the two new Springfield’s a couple Hamptons there are more rooms.

Curious if something is going back where Holiday Inn was.

There was a time…even in shite years…you wouldn’t dream of finding a room in Athens Game weekend.

The neutral game, getting off center with Auburn, WLOCP, and the Oklahoma cancellations have weakened our home sched.

Historically, I do believe having Oregon as opener did help us last year.

With this year’s team, some early cupcakes may actually help.

I've heard it argued on the Rant that it was done to balance the SEC schedule
after Mizzou and A&M were added in '12.

It made zero sense to me at the time and still doesn't.

ON the face of it I supposed I don't necessarily have the biggest problem with the fact we played there in 12 and 13. I'm sure there is a frickton of puzzle pieces to put together as 2 new teams joined and amyeb that was needed for whatever erason. Ok, fine. My problem is that it wasn't made right by AU playing back to back in Athens. And everyone always says "well if you do that it messes up the numebr of conference home and away games for other teams", yet somehow LSu and UF made it work when a hurricane forcd them to relocate that game. They were supposd to paly at UF in 2016 but due to weather had to play in BR back to back years in 15/16. Then lo and behold they played in gainesville in 17/18 to get back on track. So I refuse to beleive any bullshite abotu things being "unlabanced" since we've seen a clear precedent that it CAN be done. Our spineless adminstrations just didn't give a frick. Also evidenced by the fact they allowed AU to dictate when the DSOR is played. frick I hate mcgarity

I thought Kirby/McGarity agreed to the move ONLY if we got the '13 home game back.
