So if we were still in the WHO the other parts of the world wouldn't be getting the vaccine and it would just be going to the us?

They would be getting less and we would be getting more, yes. I’m not personally opining on this one way or another, but if you are “America first”, this is a bad outcome.

So Operation Warp Speed had absolutely NOTHING to do with getting the vaccine out to US market in under 8 months? No red tape was cut or regulations waived ?

Getting vaccine to market is not the same as development, which is what you claimed in your previous post. The development of vaccines is not a government endeavor, though pharmaceutical companies routinely collaborate with apolitical government agencies, such as the NIH. Moderna, for example, completed their vaccine in January, but then had to start its trial phase, which is not subject to government control or interference. There really wasn’t any red tape to be cut. The independent FDA advisory board that approved the emergency use authorizations is comprised by career officials and experts in the private sector. Trump couldn’t force them to approve the vaccine if they weren’t inclined to.

I will give the Trump administration some credit for the distribution so far. It has a baseline competence that has been lacking in almost every other area of his administration.

Trump doesn't have a problem with the bill per se. Trump is pissed that McConnell and other republicans aren't will to help efforts to overturn the election.

From what I've read the extra BS that's in the bill is typical shite that gets passed every year and they pushed it into one bill instead if two.

I'm not saying it's money we should spend. What I am saying is it's not filled with items that aren't passed every year about thid time.
I agree. It’s the shady shite politicians always do from both parties. I’m just saying I don’t really care when they whine about needing their ‘covid relief bill’ when if that’s what they really cared about they wouldn’t add all the extra stuff into it. Definitely isn’t a Democrat or Republican thing, they’re all scum and do it.

Right now the funding needed to distribute vaccine is tied up in the COVID relief bill that Trump has so far refused to sign. Politicians on both sides of the aisle are all in a tissy. If Trump doesn't sign by the 3rd the whole process starts over with a new congress.
The bill got finalized like two days ago. Trump has been pushing additional funding for months and Congress has been giving him and the American people the middle finger due to the election.

Congress

To be clear, the Republican half of Congress. After Trump vetoed the bill because it didn’t give enough money to individual Americans, Nancy Pelosi immediately announced her support for expanding the aid to $2,000, as demanded by Trump. McConnell and his caucus said such a bill would be DOA in the Senate. It’s almost like Perdue and Loeffler are trying to lose....

Trump didn't refuse to sign and demand relief payments of $2,000 per person until the bill had already passed both houses.
