I used to listen to the games on radio and get my recap from the Sunday paper sports section. The radio was free, but you had to pay for the newspaper if you wanted to read it with your morning coffee. Night games were irritating because you couldn't read about it until Monday morning.

Those Sunday papers weren't cheap. I think we can all agree that UGA should've started a free Sunday-paper-with-delivery service for football starved fans.

I used to save the Sunday Athens Banner Herald sports section after every win with the intention of framing them if we won a title. The Sunday sports section after Night road games were always disappointing

The AJC used to have the expanded MLB stat leaders on Sundays during baseball season. It was a huge deal or me and my brother. We used to bug the shite out of my dad to go out and get one on Sunday mornings.

When I was in grad school in the 1970s we would go to New York City to my buddys dads investment firm and a friend in Atlanta would call his 800 number and put the phone by a radio so we could hear the Georgia football games. We would have 5 or 6 people in the office and drop by a nearby deli and load up with food and beer for the games.
