Because in this day and age, and good offense will beat a good defense. With the rules and way refs call games these days, the game is slanted towards offense. Kirby would have been a great coach 20-30 years ago.

I don't disagree. I just remember Fromm lighting up Bama in the SECC and the offense generally racking up the points in 2018. It's revisionist history to say that they sucked.
