Also, not doing worse isn't the standard here. Our offense has been mostly pitiful. If Mathis can magically light up their defense, then I'll admit that Bennett was a mistake.
At this time, Mathis going in is inevitable just due to how poor our offense is with Bennett, but Bennett has been the starter because the other QBs aren't going to give us a better chance to win. It's a commentary on where we are at the QB position right now.

Would have been nice to have a guy with a game worth of experience coming in.

It’s about more than actual QB play. It’s like taking out the goalie when the team in front of them has been shite. It’s lighting a fire for shite play.

So it's a philosophical thing. IMO If 2 Qbs are about equal in current effectiveness but one has much more upside and his biggest issues can be solved with experience there's no question as to who you play.
Unless there's a big drop-off, not pulling Bennett is mismanagement.
