you think yante comes back?

I don't know the first thing about his thoughts but I mean what else does he have to prove?

Don't waste your breath. This place isn't happy unless there is a Fire (insert coach's name) thread for every sport in season.

Seems a little undersized to consistently play in the post in the NBA

He can hit the 3 though and has a damn good shot for a 4. I realize that doesnt' necessarily mean he'll do great in the NBA but that's irrelevant, what matters is a team paying him a bunch of money.

I think he does because he doesn't have the size to play in the paint in the NBA and he isn't skilled enough to be a SF in the pros. If he was 6'10 he might be a top 10 pick as a PF.

He doesn't shoot NBA range three's and doesn't play against guys with NBA length defensively. I don't think you go pro unless you know for a fact you are a first round pick.

That's just my opinion though.

That's what teh textbook might say but we're talking about human beings offered 6 figures so logic goes out the window sometimes.

Travis Leslie went early despite it being aboslutely 100% wrong decision. And Maten is 10x better than leslie.

I agree he is better but Leslie barely got drafted. Thompkins had better height but he was still a second round draft pick. Yante could only improve his stock by coming back for his sr year if he is a second round pick.

The only person who typed the word fire was dd22.

I just did it to gain the topic some attention and to understand the answer to two questions. So far we only have one name for a replacement for fox and one or two answers as to what they'd like to see done differently in recruiting.

So far we have one super mark fox homer and no one else seems to be as smitten with him since he has never done anything to earn such respect.

Not many, he pretty much lost me few years ago.

So, how do you think this year will play out? Sweet 16 or NIT?

Is there some kind of upward trajectory in year that gives you hope?

And the key question (as it was when firing Richt), what do you want out of the program? What should we aspire to?

Some are fine with stinking ooc early and then winning games vs the weak sec teams and losing vs the best sec teams.

I still have a harrick's hounds T-shirt.

I was in high school and one of the really cool seniors was going to a game in athens one weekend. I was friends with his gf through mutual friends and got her to do me a solid..I paid him $10 to bring me back a shirt from the student section since he knew some freshman there at the time.

I'll always hold on to that shirt. In my lifetime we've never been better than the 03 team that spineless POS adams held us out of the postseason. That team was an absolute joy to watch adn probably one of the 2 or 3 best teams we've ever put on the floor in our history.

The fact that baylor has people KILL their teammates and calipari undoubtedly cheats somehow yet our assistant gave a stupid easy test and we paid a $400 phone bill kept us out of the tourney adn got our 2nd best coach ever fired is sickening.

I was angry and bitter about that for years. A 3 seed won it all that year and that's the seed we would have had.

I'll never, ever get over that.

It'd be different if it was football and we would expect to replicate it soon, or if it was UK basketball. But this was UGA basketball...and that team was got damn good enough to make the final 4 I don't care what anyone says. That was the best team I've seen in my life. And we didnt' even get the chance.

Jarvis Hayes was unreal! Rashad Wright was one heck of a PG too.
