Again, if there was a competition of sorts, I’d agree that it could muddy the waters. In this case there is not. The backup to Drew isn’t close.

Football is a Fraternity built around family. That said, they make it just like anybody else

Again, what I'm saying has nothing to do with Drew Bobo's talent. There's a conflict of interest. I don't want the local sheriff hiring his girlfriend to manage the jail. I don't want the mayor promoting her boyfriend to head of security, or the senator voting on legislation that gives a contract to their daughter, or the judge deciding a case involving their nephew. Their rationale may be fine, their logic may seem unassailable but it doesn't matter, because it's a conflict of interest and conflicts of interest lead to favoritism and corruption. That probem can be avoided by just not doing those things. Private companies and individuals can do as they please, but public institutions and their employees should be consistent on this. They're not, but they should be.

So if the unanimous, consensus, most talented quarterback to ever come out of high school happens to be Andrew Smart in a few years, Kirby should tell him to go to Bama because you’d be concerned he’s only starting because he’s Kirby’s son.

You can have a decent overall point and admit that some situations provide nuance where bending the rules may be ok.

As a long time observer there's one thing I've learned; there is no manageable nuance when it comes to corruption in the public sector. If you allow some bending of a rule, then every situation, including but not limited to the ones you envision, has someone who insists that bending the rule is okay. The people in power then decide who may bend the rule and who may not.

I will admit that favoritism is ubiquitous and I trust our coaches as much as anybody else I don't personally know. There's my nuance. If Drew Bobo is our starting center then I'll cheer for him along with all the rest. I will not admit that I'm comfortable with his dad being the guy making that decision, because I have to be honest with myself about how tiny parts gradually corrode until a system fails. I don't even think it's avoidable, but I've seen how it happens.

There is only one 3 star starting on the o-line this year and it happens to be the OC son. And let’s not act like Bobo has kept a job other than at his alma mater. But that’s all I’ll have to say about his “coaching pedigree”

Oh ya, it’s official. Lil Bobo is high on the cancer Dawgs list and we have not played a snap yet.

Ha. Let’s bookmark this and then your old washed up third string arse can come kiss my feet. You’re probably still in Camp Richt you old stale fart.

Eat a dick. You don’t have to be a fricking rocket scientist to see the difference between Monken and Blowbo.

And that you have no football experience other than watching and throwing a shoe at the TV when the 1st string UGA QB throws into “double coverage”?

And you would have never thrown into double coverage. If your 6th grade coach gave you a shot, but his Son was the QB? You know…. You know

Brooks, this is what I was telling you about. They are clueless but think they know it all. It is odd and sad. You can use “Cancer Dawgs”. Free. It’s my gift to you.
